Gabon vs Ghana Odds: Expect goals in this Group C clash

Friday evening sees another AFCON clash in Group C. The 7pm kick off is live on Sky Sports and features a Gabon side sitting pretty in 2nd and a Ghana side that sit rock bottom after an opening loss. The Ghanaian's badly need a win here if they are to get out of the group and into the knockout stages. We've got OddsTerrier to provide us with two picks for this late evening kick off.
Gabon not only got off to a great start with their 1-0 win over Comoros, but Friday should see the return of their talisman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to provide support to the opening game goalscorer, Aaron Salem Boupendza. If they can somehow pick up another win here, Gabon could be finding themselves in the knockout rounds for the first time since 2012, where they reached the quarter-finals.
Ghana are in a dire position after their opening game loss to Morocco. A late goal by Sofiane Boufal means Ghana are bottom of group C and need to start picking up points here. They have no new Covid or injury issues and should remain unchanged for the clash with The Brazilians.
Gabon vs Ghana Tips
First up we've gone for Both teams to score. Ghana simply have to score here and possess decent fire power via the Ayew brothers. In Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Gabon have, when on form, one of the top strikers in Europe. It's only a couple of years ago that Auba netted back-to-back 20+ scoring seasons in the Premier League. With this in mind and so much on the line I like the look of Both teams to score which is priced generously at 17/12.
Next up we have the aforementioned Aubameyang to score anytime. He is comfortably Gabon's leading scorer with 28 and has scored the majority of the goals in their squad. He has had an awful year after being frozen out at Arsenal due to disciplinary issues and then tested positive for Covid on arrival in Cameroon. After such a torrid period, Aubameyang will be looking to make the headlines for all the right reasons and I fancy him to bag here. The 32-year-old is 3/1 to do so in the 90 minutes with Paddy Power and Betfair.
