Fulham v Manchester United Tips: Points to be shared at Craven Cottage

Fulham host Manchester United at Craven Cottage on Wednesday evening where United may need three points to go back to the top of the table, should Manchester City beat Aston Villa in the 6:00pm kick-off. We’ve got three football tips for the game, that when combined create a 40/1 longshot.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to rotate his side heavily following the 0-0 draw with Liverpool on Sunday. Edinson Cavani, Nemanja Matic, Alex Telles and Eric Bailly are all expected to come back into the starting lineup.
Antonee Robinson will serve the first of his three game ban after being sent off against Chelsea on Saturday. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is ready for selection after being ineligible to play against his parent club at the weekend.
Manchester United have won nine of their last ten games against Fulham in all competitions and are the 8/15 favourites with the bookmakers to get the three points in London. The draw is available at 17/5, with a huge win for Scott Parker’s side, currently top-priced with William Hill at 11/2.
Ademola Lookman 1+ shot on target - @ 5/6, Betfair, Paddy Power
Match to be a draw - 17/5, Betfair
Ademola Lookman has registered more shots on target than any other Fulham player this season despite only having 2 goals and one horrendous penalty miss to his name. The 23-year-old looks generously priced with Betfair to have one shot on target against Manchester United at ⅚ and Sky Bet have this same selection at just 4/11.
In the Premier League this season, Ademola Lookman has registered at least one shot on target in 75% of his starts. That’s nine in twelve games that this selection has landed. Fulham have looked much improved over the last month or so and with Lookman set to start up-front with Ivan Cavaliero he looks good value to notch another against United.
I was impressed with Fulham in the first half against Chelsea on Saturday and if Antonee Robinson had not been sent off for his aggressive challenge on Cesar Azpliacueta I think they would have got something from the game. I’m having a small play on the game to be a draw which is currently best priced with Betfair at 17/5 (4.4)
Prior to the game with Chelsea, Fulham had played out a draw in their last five league matches. Those stalemates include points against Liverpool, Southampton and Tottenham. Fulham have proved they have fight in them and with a slightly rotated Manchester United side I think the hosts can give them a tougher test than the odds suggest.
At 3/1, I’m also fancying Alex Telles to have one shot on target. The Brazilian should come into the starting lineup in place of Luke Shaw on Wednesday evening and has been going forward more and more lately for United. Telles recorded an assist as well as registering a shot on target in his most recent start against Watford in the FA Cup.
The former Porto man has recorded 4 shots and 2 shots on target in his last four appearances, however two of those have been off the substitutes bench. Telles registered an incredible 1.75 shots on target per 90 mins at Porto in his final season and he’s a player who has superb free-kick taking ability. There’s also a small chance that Bruno Fernandes may be rested here due to being on four yellow cards and the suspension threshold rising to five to 10 next week, which could see Ole not risk his star man.
For the optimists out there the treble of all three currently pays around 40/1 with both Betfair and Paddy Power. Please make sure to gamble responsibly, enjoy the game.
