Fulham vs. Aston Villa Betting Tips: Konsa an attractive price in the passes market

Two Premier League matches take place on Thursday night with Fulham hosting Aston Villa on the banks of the Thames at 7:30pm. The game can be seen live on Amazon Prime and we’ve previewed the action and provided you with two bets that we like the look of.
Fulham came from behind twice on Saturday to earn a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth and the Cottagers could climb to as high as sixth in the table with a win on Thursday. In the 2020/2021 season Fulham only scored nine league goals at Craven Cottage but have already bettered that total this time round, scoring 10 goals in their five matches so far on home soil.
Pressure continues to mount on Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard who is just 1/9 to be the next Premier League manager to leave. Villa put in a better performance against Chelsea on Sunday despite the 2-0 scoreline, in a match where they let off 18 shots in comparison to just eight by the Blues. It’s now just one win in their last seven for Villa who have only scored seven goals in 10 matches so far this campaign.
Kenny Tete, Layvin Kurzawa and Manor Solomon will all miss this game due to injury, while Nathaniel Chalobah is suspended after his red card against Newcastle. For the visitors, Cameron Archer, Diego Carlos Lucas Digne and Boubacar Kamara are all confirmed absentees.
Fulham vs Aston Villa Tips
It’s refreshing to see Betfair and Paddy Power now providing player passes markets for most Premier League matches and it’s from here where we have found our first selection on Thursday. Ezri Konsa is the player in question and we are backing him to attempt 50+ passes at 5/4.
This season the Aston Villa centre-back is averaging 46.8 passes per game so far in the 2022/2023 season, but when looking at just away matches, that figure rises to an average of 56.8. In total, Konsa has played five matches away from Villa Park this season and has cleared this line of 50+ passes in four of them. In his most recent away game Konsa recorded 82 passes against Nottingham Forest and we think this price of 5/4 looks generous with the same selection 5/6 over at BetVictor.
We’ll also be having a small play on Fulham loanee Dan James in this match and are backing him to have Over 2.5 shots and Over 0.5 shots on target. James has only started three matches so far for Fulham this term but looking at his shooting data, he recorded 3+ shots in each of his last two appearances.
We see Fulham creating plenty of chances in this match and after six shots in his last 122 minutes of football we think James could be the man to side with in this market.
This selection is available at 11/2 via the bet365 Bet Builder feature and can hopefully go close on Thursday. Best of luck to anyone following, and as always please gamble responsibly.
