Football Accumulator Tips: 16/1 Treble for Day 10 at the World Cup

Tuesday promises to be another dramatic day at the World Cup, seeing both Group A and B decided. A lot is still up in the air in the groups and we’ve gone ahead and picked out three bets from the action to combine into an accumulator.
Acca Tips
Cody Gakpo to score anytime
Netherlands face Qatar tomorrow and despite not losing a game this tournament, they will still be looking to win this game against Qatar to secure top spot in Group A. It’s no surprise that Netherlands are huge favourites for this game, Qatar have been incredibly underwhelming this tournament and have looked miles off it since the first game.
With Netherlands being such overwhelming favourites, I think looking at the goalscoring market is the place that will yield the most value. Cody Gakpo is the man that has caught my eye.
Despite being the leading goalscorer for his nation, he’s fifth in the market when it comes to scoring a goal with the likes of Depay, de Jong, Janssen and Weghorst being more likely than him. Gakpo was also played as a striker against Ecuador which was a change from the attacking midfield role he had against Senegal, if he is to play striker again, expect his odds to be backed in from 6/5.
I can see Netherlands scoring a fair few past Qatar given how bad they have been, and if they are to score a good few goals, I expect Cody Gakpo to be in them given his scoring record this season.
Iran double chance
Next up is the Iran vs USA game which is game that will decide the placing of Group B. If either team here wins they go through, however, a draw would not be good enough for USA who are a point behind Iran. A draw would be enough for Iran providing Wales do not hammer England.
Iran looked brilliant in their game against Wales where they completely controlled the game during the later stages and finally broke their opponents down very late on. The football played by Iran was easy on the eye and I’d argue much better than what we’ve seen from USA this tournament.
Despite a good effort from USA against England they ultimately didn’t manage to secure the three points against an England team that was miles off it. If you were to compare both of these teams’ performances at the World Cup so far, you’d definitely say Iran look the better side.
Iran actually come into this game as decent 3/1 underdogs which might surprise a few. Given the fact that Iran only need a point to progress here, I think having them to win or draw is a great bet at 8/11 and gives the accumulator a nice boost.
Harry Maguire 1+ headed shot on target
Despite his critics being as loud as ever, Harry Maguire has made the England squad and has started both of the games at the World Cup so far.
Many are expecting a few lineup changes for this game from Southgate but one player who has been solid is Maguire and he should have secured his place in this starting XI.
Maguire is averaging 1.5 shots per game at the World Cup which is the joint second-best in this shot with only Bukayo Saka averaging more shots than him.
Maguire recorded a shot on target against the USA last game and hit the bar against Iran, it’s fair to say he is fancying himself at the moment and he’s definitely worth backing again at 7/2 to have a headed shot on target.
Wales have actually been conceding a lot of corners this tournament which will be huge for Harry Maguire.
Against USA they conceded five corners and against Iran they conceded seven.
You’d like to think with the quality of England’s wide players and, them being a big favourite to win this game, that the corners will be raining in, and with every corner comes a decent chance for Maguire who wins a lot of headers.
And that will finish our accumulator off for Tuesday! Thanks to the decent price of Maguire to have a headed shot on target, we’re left with a 16/1 accumulator with Betfair. As always good luck to everyone that is following.
