Ipswich vs Southampton - Ipswich Win & BTTS
Labelling this as a "six-pointer" would be a stretch, given that Southampton has only six points to their name and is priced as short as 1/1000 for relegation. It has been a dismal campaign for the Saints, particularly on the road, where they remain winless, collecting just two points from a possible 36.
Saturday’s clash arguably carries far greater significance for Ipswich, who are battling with Leicester City and Wolves for Premier League survival. Sitting one point from safety in 17th, a victory could see them climb out of the relegation zone by the end of the weekend.
Wins have been rare for the Tractor Boys, with just three victories since their return to the top-flight. However, they have shown they can upset the odds, claiming surprise wins over Chelsea and Tottenham. Backed by a passionate home crowd, they'll take confidence from last season’s 3-2 victory in this fixture.
For Southampton, defeat has become a weekly occurrence, with 19 losses in 23 games. However, they have at least found the net in their last three losses against Man Utd (3-1), Nottingham Forest (3-2), and Newcastle (3-1), showing some fight in each of those matches. A win may once again elude them, but the luckless Saints will at least back themselves to score against an Ipswich side that have conceded 10 goals in their last two games.
Newcastle vs Fulham - Newcastle Win & BTTS
Aside from a rare off-day at home to Bournemouth, Newcastle have been in blistering form, winning 10 of their last 11 matches across all competitions.
Goals have come freely for the Magpies, netting 3+ goals in three of their last four games. Alexander Isak has been particularly prolific, scoring an incredible 16 goals in his last 15 appearances, including two braces in January.
Fulham, on the other hand, remain unpredictable, with a mixed record of two wins, two draws, and two losses in their last six Premier League outings. However, their matches tend to deliver goals, with BTTS landing in 10 of their last 13 games in all competitions.
Newcastle look the standout pick as they look to jump into the top-4 - possibly even 3rd place - but Fulham should provide a stern test in what promises to be an entertaining encounter.
Bournemouth vs Liverpool - BTTS
With Arsenal not in action until Sunday’s showdown against Manchester City, Liverpool have the chance to open up a nine-point lead at the top - at least for 24 hours.
The Reds have won 16 of their 22 league games, but backing them on Saturday isn’t straightforward given the remarkable form of their opponents. Bournemouth, currently 7th, are unbeaten in 12 league and cup matches and come into this clash off the back of stunning 4-1 and 5-0 victories over Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.
Rather than picking a winner, both teams to score looks like the standout bet. Bournemouth have netted 16 goals in their last four matches, keeping just one clean sheet in that time. Meanwhile, Liverpool have scored in 21 of their 22 Premier League games this season and haven’t been involved in a goalless league draw since 2023.
Everton vs Leicester City - Everton Win
David Moyes has made an instant impact on his return to Goodison Park, winning two of his first three matches—already surpassing Sean Dyche’s total from his final 11 games in charge.
Back-to-back victories over Tottenham (3-2) and Brighton (1-0) have propelled a resurgent Everton seven points clear of the relegation zone, with the chance to stretch that gap to nine points with a home win over struggling Leicester City.
The Foxes do actually head into this game on the back of a rare win - but then again everyone is beating Spurs at the moment. Prior to that, Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side had endured a seven-game losing streak, failing to score in five of those matches.
With momentum on their side, Everton look full of confidence under Moyes’ watch and having already recorded eight clean sheets this season, they’ll back themselves to shut out Leicester and secure a third straight win.
