Crystal Palace vs Sunderland - Home Win
FA Cup and Community Shield winners Crystal Palace can make more history this weekend when they look to go unbeaten in 10 consecutive Premier League matches for the first time - no current top-flight side is enjoying a better run at the moment.
Palace opened the campaign up with back-to-back draws against Chelsea and Nottingham Forest, before conjuring up a superb 3-0 away to Aston Villa. With momentum firmly on their side, a home win looks a strong pick on Saturday when the Eagles host newly-promoted Sunderland, who lost their only away game 2-0 to Burnley.
Everton vs Aston Villa - Home Win
Speaking of teams in form, Everton look revitalised after a disappointing opening-day loss to Leeds. Since then, they've responded impressively with three straight wins against Brighton, Mansfield (cup), and Wolves, with a rejuvenated Jack Grealish providing four assists across those two league victories.
By contrast, Aston Villa have endured a sluggish start, picking up just one point from three matches. They currently sit 19th in the table and are the only team yet to score a goal in the league this season.
Newcastle vs Wolves - Home Win
Wolves are the only club below the aforementioned Aston Villa in the table, having failed to pick up a point from any of their three games. This rotten run could easily be extended to four straight defeats when they make the tricky trip to St James’ Park this afternoon where they face a side they’ve only beaten twice in the last 20 meetings (losing 11).
Newcastle may also be searching for their first win of the season, but they've shown more promise with two draws and a dramatic last-minute defeat to Liverpool. With the Alexander Isak transfer saga now finally over, the Magpies will be looking to kick on, especially with new signing Nick Woltemade expected to make his debut and inject fresh energy into the attack.
Fulham vs Leeds - Under 2.5 Goals
Fulham vs Leeds looks like a tight, cagey affair on paper, and the stats only strengthen the case for backing Under 2.5 Goals at Craven Cottage.
Fulham have yet to register a league win this season and have struggled in front of goal, with all four of their matches in league and cup finishing with under 2.5 goals. They’ve looked compact defensively, but their lack of cutting edge in attack has been a recurring issue.
Leeds, meanwhile, were thumped by Arsenal in Week 2, but only one goal was scored in their two other games either side of that result.
