FC Koln v RB Leipzig Tips: Preview and Predictions for Bundesliga Clash

What a day it was for our three tips yesterday, as not only did our 3/1 tip land but our 80/1 flew in returning £202.50 from a suggested £2.50 stake! We're looking to make it back-to-back winners with these three bobby dazzlers for tonight's game between FC Koln and RB Leipzig.
The visitors enter this match as firm 1/2 favourites, while the bookies are giving the hosts just a 15% chance of victory; take one look at the form book and you can perhaps understand why.
Koln are still awaiting their first victory since returning from the break, drawing two and losing one of their initial three fixtures.
Meanwhile RB Leipzig are yet to taste defeat having drawn two and won one of their three games, though manager Julian Nagelsmann will not be happy with the fact that his team have essentially dropped four points from a potential nine on offer.
To make things trickier for Koln, they will be without centre-back Sebastian Bornauw for this match, after the Belgian picked up a red card in the 3-1 defeat to Hoffenheim last week.
It is the same story for Leipzig defender Marcel Halstenberg, however, after he picked up two yellows against Hertha Berlin and will subsequently miss this match through suspension.
You can find BettingOdds.com's three tips for the clash, which will be shown live on BT Sport at 19:30, below.
- The German has registered 17 shots on target in 18 appearances this season and will be at the forefront of the hosts attack this evening
Our first bet is Koln forward Mark Uth to have two or more shots on target. The German has registered 17 shots on target in 18 appearances this season and will be at the forefront of the hosts attack this evening alongside Jhon Cordoba, so could see plenty of opportunities presented to him.
Uth has five goals to his name this term and should have made it six last week from the penalty spot, but saw his effort saved. Indeed, it still counted as a shot on target and we're not relying on him to score for this bet to land, simply for him to get a few successful shots away on goal, which we're confident he can do.
- Hector is Koln's most booked player with seven yellows
- Werner is the Bundesliga's second-top goalscorer with 24 goals
The second bet for tonight's clash is Koln skipper Jonas Hector to be booked and Leipzig striker Timo Werner to find the net anytime.
Hector is his club's most booked player this season with seven yellow cards to his name and picked up his last booking a fortnight ago during the 2-2 draw with Mainz.
A tough-tackling central midfielder, Hector is always in the thick of the action and against a high-pressing midfield - which contains the likes of nippy ball-players Konrad Laimer and Marcel Sabitzer - he could well find himself making an ill-disciplined challenge this evening, thus picking up his eighth yellow of the campaign.
We've doubled this bet up with Timo Werner to score anytime. The 24-year-old is one of the deadliest strikers in not just Germany but throughout the whole of the world at the moment, with 24 goals to his name, and last week scored a stunning hat-trick against Mainz.
Werner would have been frustrated not to have etched his name onto the scoresheet against Hertha Berlin during Leipzig's last outing, so will be itching to return to scoring ways against a side who have failed to keep a clean sheet in their previous five matches.
This bet is priced up at 4.7/1 with bet365, so the value you're getting with backing it with Betfair at 11/2 is fantastic.
- Mere hasn't played much this season and could become unravelled against the pace of Timo Werner
- Sabitzer has scored nine goals and taken 22 shots on target this season
- Nkuku is frequently in good attacking positions and has scored four goals this term
Our final selection includes Koln centre-back Jorge Mere to be booked. The Spaniard has been a sporadically used squad member for the majority of the campaign but is predicted to line-up in the heart of defence this season due to Sebastian Bornauw's suspension.
Because of a lack of regular first-team action, Mere could be rusty and not up to speed, which is going to be a nightmare up against one of the quickest players in Europe in Timo Werner.
We actually feel sorry for anyone having to deal with the electric German, especially if they've only played 91 minutes of football in the last three months...
Next up it's Christopher Nkuku to score anytime. The Frenchman isn't the most prolific of players for Leipzig, but does always seem to find himself in some good attacking positions from midfield.
Nkuku has four goals to his name this term, but we reckon he could make that five against a shaky defence this evening. Including him to notch anytime at 15/8 has significantly boosted the odds of this longer-priced bet, compared to the likes of Werner and Schick who are both much shorter priced to bag in 90 mins.
To make this bet an appetising 25/1 shot (boosted from 20/1), we've also included RB Leipzig midfielder Marcel Sabitzer to have 1 or more shots on target. The 26-year-old is a huge talent and has been one of the standout performers this season, scoring nine goals - only Werner has managed more.
Sabitzer features in the top-eight midfielders for shots on target in the Bundesliga (22 in total), and is never afraid to test the keeper from range. He flies into this Same Game Multi with Paddy Power to round off our trio of bets this evening.
We thoroughly hope that this game is an enjoyable and wish you all the best of luck with your bets.
Remember though, it is pivotal to ensure you are only betting what you can afford.
