Fantasy Football Tips: Three must-have picks for Gameweek 8

Arsenal facing Manchester City in Gameweek 8 makes it a particularly difficult week to navigate but there’s favourable fixtures elsewhere with Spurs travelling to Luton Town. Here’s the must-have players for FPL Gameweek 8.
Gameweek 7 Review
The curse of the most transferred in player was broken with Kieran Trippier chalking up 12 points away at Burnley, while Saka overcame injury to score against Bournemouth and Morris rewarded those who captained him over Haaland!
I had a challenging gameweek personally with my captain Haaland failing to deliver an attacking return and Estupinan coming off my bench with -2 points to auto-sub for the injured Botman, bringing consecutive red arrows since the wildcard.
Defender: Matty Cash vs Wolves (A)
Aston Villa’s Matty Cash leads the way for goals among defenders with two, having registered 14 shots on goal this season, including two big chances. He also delivered an assist in the last game, with only Brighton scoring more Premier League goals than Villa season.
Opponents Wolves will come into this game high on confidence having beaten Manchester City last time out, but they continue to struggle for goals, with eight goals in seven games. Cash is delivering a tally of 4.9 points per match so far in this campaign.
Midfielder: Heung-Min Son vs Luton (A)
Spurs midfielders Heung-Min Son continues to lead the line, playing out of position as a striker, while Richarlison has been confined to the left flank. Since moving into this new role, Son leads the way for Premier League goals, with five in four.
A trip to Luton provides plenty of promise for more of that, given that at the time of writing they are still waiting for their first clean sheet of the season, conceding two goals per game on average. Son is also thought to be on penalties.
Forward: Ollie Watkins vs Wolves (A)
Despite a frustrating start to the season which saw Watkins off penalties, he’s scored 32 points in the last two gameweeks to make himself the highest points scorer in the game, including an impressive five attacking returns in the 6-1 win against Brighton.
Watkins now has the leading tally of ten goal involvements for the season and Villa are about to hit a kind run of fixtures over the next five gameweeks. Opponents Wolves are without a clean sheet in their last four games, conceding eight goals in that time.
