Everton vs. Crystal Palace Predictions: The 23/1 shot for crucial Goodison Clash

Everton host Crystal Palace in the Premier League this Thursday night at Goodison Park. The hosts are battling against relegation with two games left till the end of the season. They currently sit 16th in the league table with 36 points, just two points above Burnley who are in a relegation spot. With a difficult game coming up at the Emirates Stadium next against Arsenal, Lampard’s men know this is an absolute must win for them if they are to survive relegation.
Everton v Crystal Palace Tips
After two wins and a draw, Everton slipped to a disappointing defeat at home on Sunday as two of their players got red carded. They will have to stay focused and disciplined if they are to get over the line against a Crystal Palace side who are in excellent form. The visitors are unbeaten in their last four Premier League games and have already beaten Everton twice this season at the Selhurst Park. The hosts will have to be at their very best and will need their fans to be vocal if they are to get three massive points in this relegation battle.
A hugely significant clash in the relegation battle awaits us and as usual, I have you covered with two of my best betting angles included in the preview below:
Team News:
Yerry Mina, Fabian Delph, Townsend, Nathan Patterson, Rondon & Braithwaite are out for Everton while Michael Keane, Van De Beek & Ben Godfrey are doubtful.
Nathan Ferguson is out for Palace while James McArthur is doubtful.
Everton possible starting lineup:
Pickford; Coleman, Holgate, Keane; Iwobi, Allan, Doucoure, Mykolenko; Gordon, Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison
Crystal Palace possible starting lineup:
Guaita; Clyne, Andersen, Kouyate, Guehi, Mitchell; Gallagher, Milivojevic, Schlupp; Zaha, Mateta
- Over 0 goals in the match for Everton
- Over 3 corners in the match for Everton
- Over 0 cards in the match for Everton
I will be focusing on the Toffees in my bet builder as they will be expected to come out with an aggressive approach in their final home game in their bid for survival.
They are just two points above the relegation zone and their final game of the season is a tough assignment away at Arsena,l so this game at home to Palace becomes an absolute must win.
I expect them to attack from the first minute which should help the corners. They have managed to get four corners in eight of their last ten home games, failing only against top teams Manchester City and Chelsea where they got three corners each.
As for the goal, Everton have scored at least once in their last five home games in a row and I expect the fans to get behind them and help them put the ball into the back of the net.
Finally, Everton should comfortably receive at least one card as they will be desperate for a result and will commit cynical fouls as a result of that. If they are leading late on, this card could also come through time-wasting.
Combining these 3 selections gives us a cracking betbuilder @ 4/5 and I am happy to stake 1pt on that as our main bet for this clash.
Absolutely love this longshot and I feel it has a decent chance as well.
With desperation kicking in, I expect Everton to be pumped up for this game and the fans to push them over the line here considering the tough away game against Arsenal coming up next.
Pickford has already picked up two yellow cards so far this season for time-wasting and is lucky not to have picked up more in recent weeks.
If the hosts take the lead, Pickford will be in no hurry to take his goal kicks or free kicks and at huge price of 23/1, I am happy to take a small punt at this longshot double as my final bet for this game.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
