England Women vs. USA Women Betting Tips: Beth Mead can continue Lionesses hot streak

European champions England face World champions USA in a blockbuster clash at a sold-out Wembley on Friday night, live on ITV 1 at 8pm. Both teams are unbeaten in 2022 and will each be eyeing up a statement win ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
Below we preview the match and provide two tips for your perusal.
England Women vs USA Women Tips
This will be the first meeting since the 2020 SheBelieves Cup when the USA triumphed 2-0, which came after the 2019 clash when the USA and tea-sipper Alex Morgan booted England out in the semi-finals en route to winning the World Cup for a fourth time.
While the Americans have gone on to win the CONCACAF Championship, England have joined the winners circle themselves after famously winning Euro 2022 on home soil in the summer.
The Lionesses carried on the momentum last month with a 2-0 win over Austria and 10-0 demolition of Luxembourg, and are still yet to suffer a single defeat under managerial maestro Sarina Wiegman, who has overseen 20 wins in 22 games, complete with 118 goals scored.
There are a couple of high-profile absentees for England in skipper Leah Williamson and Alessia Russo, however the squad boasts an avalanche of talent and experience, and will be gunning to extend their winning run to 15 games in front of an expectant home crowd.
As for the USA, they are enjoying their own unbeaten run of 21 matches spanning 14 months, which includes 13 straight wins and victory in the CONCACAF Championship final after beating rivals Canada. The likes of Megan Rapinoe, Trinity Rodman, and Lindsey Horan will all be present for The Stars and Stripes at Wembley, however Alex Morgan has been ruled out due to a knee injury.
England are the narrow favourites in the betting to carve out their first win over the USA in five matches, while the visitors can be backed at 15/8, with a draw available at 23/10.
England’s Euro 2022 Golden Boot and Player of the Tournament winner scored six goals en route to winning the Euros and has since added another to her international tally in the victory over Luxembourg.
With 12 goals in her last 13 matches for club and country, Mead has stormed out of the WSL blocks this season with three goals in two games for Arsenal.
Buoyed by being voted Arsenal England Women's Player of the Year, Mead now sets her sights on the US, standing out at 12/5 to score in the anytime market as she bids to net her 30th goal for the Lionesses.
On top of that, you can find odds of 4/1 for Mead to score in an England win, which has landed five times in her last eight caps.
It's difficult to split these two teams given their impressive unbeaten runs: England (22), USA (21). This makes a draw look more favourable at 21/20, with a score draw priced at 16/5.
However, for the second tip I much more like the look of the 10/1 on offer for both teams to score in both halves.
England have scored an astonishing 118 goals in 22 games under Wiegman, whereas the USA have scored three or more goals in nine of their last 13 outings.
There's an absolute assortment of attacking players on show, with both teams fully capable of finding the back of the net multiple times on Friday night.
