England vs. Australia Betting Tips: Best bets for Wembley friendly

Prior to their Euro 2024 qualifier with Italy on Tuesday, England will take on Australia in a friendly on Friday evening at Wembley.
This will be the second friendly in a row for England after their 3-1 win over Scotland in September where Jude Bellingham was the star of the show. England have only ever faced Australia in exhibition matches, with the most recent of those being in 2016 when Marcus Rashford and Wayne Rooney were on the scoresheet in a 2-1 victory.
The Socceroos have only participated in friendlies since their World Cup last-16 exit to eventual champions Argentina in December. Since then Graham Arnold’s side have W1 L2 D1 of their four fixtures, all of which have been against sides from Latin America. The last time they defeated the Three Lions was back in 2003 when Sven-Goran Eriksson was in charge of the English national side.
England vs Australia Tips
England are unbeaten in their last 17 matches at Wembley (W13 D4) on a run that stretches back to when they were beaten 1-0 by Denmark in 2020.
Gareth Southgate’s side are priced at just 1/5 in the match result market and we’ve opted to take them to win the match with Under 3.5 goals being scored.
The Three Lions have kept a clean sheet in six of their last nine matches across all formats and for the last time they were beaten in a friendly, you have to go back to 2018.
Australia are no pushovers and they have the ability to be competitive here. Their win against Denmark in the World Cup showed the progress they have made over the last decade, but backing England to win with Under 3.5 goals via the bet builder feature on bet365, looks a nice way in here.
It has been a quite remarkable few months for Jude Bellingham since his switch to Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund. His performance against Scotland left fans in awe and also left them scratching their heads how this young man is only 20-years-old.
At 13/10 we are plumping for Jude to score or assist on Friday evening, with a few bookmakers such as Betfair and Paddy Power having this same selection priced odds-on. Since the start of the 2023/24 campaign, Bellingham has 11 goals and four assists for club and country with this bet clicking in nine of his 12 starts.
