Dortmund vs. Mainz Betting Tips: Best bets for the final day of the Bundesliga season including a 9/1 shout

Borussia Dortmund have the chance to claim their ninth top-flight German title on Saturday afternoon with a home game against Mainz. Here at BettingOdds.com we’ve previewed the action and picked out two tips that we think represent good value in the betting markets.
Heading into the final day of the Bundesliga season, Dortmund sit two points ahead of their rivals Bayern Munich who have dominated the division for a decade, lifting the last ten league trophies. Edin Terzic’s side have taken 17 points from a possible 21 over the last few weeks and are the odds-on favourites to win this game, priced at just 2/13 with some betting sites.
Mainz have tasted defeat in their last four meetings with Dortmund and have come out on top just once in the last nine. Mainz can only finish as high as eighth in the league standings with a win here and understandably they are all the way out at 15/1 to grab the three points.
Borussia Dortmund vs Mainz Tips
As we mentioned above Dortmund are incredibly short here in the match result market and we have therefore decided to recommend a few selections from various player prop markets.
First up we are backing Julian Brandt to record Over 1.5 Shots and Over 0.5 Shots on target at 41/50 with Unibet. The midfielder has only failed to let off a shot in one of his one of his last 21 league appearances and has recorded at least one on target in 11 of his last 17.
In Dortmund’s 3-0 win over Augsburg last weekend, Brandt let off five shots, with all five of them hitting the target. The home side will be on the front foot from the off and with this same bet paying just 1/2 with bet365 we think it looks a lovely price with Unibet.
We’ve also had a small punt on Karim Adeyemi to score and be carded at 9/1 with the same bookmaker.
The 21-year-old has scored three goals in his last four appearances for Terzic’s men and has also been shown more yellow cards (9) than any other player for The Black and Yellows in the league this term.
Odds of 9/1 may not sound like the most eye-catching of prices for a player to score and be carded, but with this bet landing in three of his last ten league matches, we believe it’s worth some loose change on the final day of the season.
