Doncaster vs. Everton Betting Tips: Danjuma a generous price in the shots market

Five Premier League teams are involved in League Cup action on Wednesday evening and  Doncaster against Everton is the game that has been chosen to be shown live on Sky Sports. We’ve previewed the action and have provided you with two bets that we like the look of.

Here we have two teams who are yet to record a win in their league campaigns so far this season. It has been a miserable few years for Doncaster who finished 18th in League Two in 2022/23. This term, Grant McCann’s side sit bottom of the fourth-tier table after five matches, with their latest defeat coming in the form of a 2-1 loss at MK Dons. 

One positive Doncaster can take is that they have already knocked out a team from a higher division in this competition after seeing off Hull 2-1 in Round One. This is very much a free shot for Rovers who have no fresh injury concerns off the back of the trip to Milton Keynes. 

Alarm bells are starting to ring at Everton. The Toffees are yet to score a goal in the Premier League this season and they sit rooted to the bottom of the table. Dominic-Calvert-Lewin, Andre Gomes, Dwight McNeil, Jack Harrison, Seaums Coleman, Dele Alli and Alex Iwobi are all out injured for this clash, with Sean Dyche set to rotate his pack ahead of a big game against Sheffield United at the weekend.

With players such as James Garner, Lewis Dobbin and new signing Youssef Chermiti set for starts, we still believe the visitors have enough quality to win this game but we do think it will be low scoring. Everton have only scored more than once in four of their last 31 matches in all competitions and backing them to win with under four goals in the game looks a wise play at 11/10. 

We’re also recommending a small punt on Arnaut Danjuma to record Over 1.5 Shots on Target at the Keepmoat Stadium. The Dutchman has looked lively so far this term in the Premier League registering nine shots in just 161 minutes of football.

The former Bournemouth winger should be handed a start on Wednesday and after managing three shots on target against Wolves on Saturday, we think there’s scope for another barrage of attempts on goal against lower league opposition.
