Crystal Palace vs. Chelsea Betting Tips: In-form Wilfried Zaha backed in 18/1 double

Two clubs looking to kick-start their seasons lock horns at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon at 3pm.
Crystal Palace (16th) have just the one win to their name so far and are without a win in three games, while Chelsea (7th) are playing their first Premier League match in a month and first under Graham Potter, who oversaw a 1-1 draw against RB Salzburg (Champions League) in his only game so far since making the decision to switch Brighton for the Blues.
Due to the inconsistencies of both teams, we’ve avoided having a stab at the match result, and instead honed in on a couple of shots on target bets which includes an 18/1 double…
Crystal Palace vs Chelsea Tips
It was never going to be a plain sailing start to the season for Crystal Palace given the fixtures they were handed, so there’s no reason to panic despite only notching a single win so far against Aston Villa, even though this does date back to 20th August. Their other games have been defeats to Arsenal and Man City, and draws against Liverpool, Brentford and Newcastle.
It’s still difficult to know what to make of Chelsea yet this season, however historically this has been a duel they’ve dominated, having won each of the last 10 clashes, plus the last four at Selhurst Park.
It’s been a strange start for new boss Potter who may have been in the Blues dugout for three weeks, yet he’s only managed one game - in the Champions League - and has been without the majority of his players due to the international break. However, bookmakers still expect him to get the job done in his first Premier League match at the helm (17/20), with Palace 18/5 to record their first win over their London rivals in 11 matches, whereas a draw is 13/5.
Despite Palace’s mixed start in terms of results, star man Wilfried Zaha has been in superb form in front of goal, bagging four goals in five appearances. He’s had 14 shots in his previous four games, eight of which have been on target.
I was therefore surprised to see that bet365 were offering a touch short of evens - at 5/6 - for Zaha to have a shot on target this weekend, a bet which has been ticked off in each of his last four games.
I fully expect him, on home soil, to cause chaos amongst a surprisingly fragile Chelsea backline which has failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last seven matches in all competitions.
Staying with the in-form Zaha, the same bookie also has the winger priced at a very temping 9/2 to record over 1.5 shots on target on Saturday, which has returned coins in two of his last three games.
We’ve combined this bet with the 11/4 on offer for Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling in the same market to produce a tasty little double at 18/1 with bet365 - a huge price when compared with the 15/2 at Sky Bet and 10/1 at Paddy Power.
We all know that Sterling can be slightly erratic in front of goal, but his impact has been one of the rare positives at Chelsea this season. The winger has scored three goals in his last three league games, registering 2+ SOT in two of those outings; and four of his six games to date.
