After a stunning weekend of Barclays action, where we saw a stunning 30 goals, which featured a 9-0 win for Liverpool, Harry Kane moving into third on the all-time top scorer’s list, and a stunning Erling Haaland hat-trick.
Crystal Palace vs Brentford Tips
Moving on, we’ve got a full card of Premier League fixtures during this midweek, with all of them live on BT Sport. We’ll have a preview for more or less every top flight game from Tuesday to Thursday, and we’ll be starting off with Crystal Palace vs Brentford.
For 45 minutes at least on Saturday, Palace looked to be at it again. 2-0 up away at Man City, the exact scoreline they came away with last season. But it wasn’t to be for Patrick Vieira’s side, as a second half comeback, topped by the previously mentioned Haaland hat-trick, saw them fall to a 4-2 defeat.
In terms of team news, the Eagles manager has remained tightlipped on possible returns, with Wilf Zaha missing Saturday’s game, and Tyrick Mitchell having gone off injured.
For Brentford, it’s been an average start to the season, as they lie in 10th place, with one game won, two drawn and a single loss. They had to come from behind to get a point against Everton, and that made it three times in their four games that they’ve conceded the opening goal.
Thomas Frank’s substitutes made the difference at the weekend, as Lewis Keane-Potter provided their equaliser for fellow introduction Vitaly Janelt, which could mean a starting place for both on Tuesday evening.
Starting off with Palace’s impressive ball playing centre-half. Andersen has made a flying start to the season, with fantastic displays against Arsenal and Liverpool, before heading in Palace’s second goal at Man City on Saturday.
For this bet, we’ll be looking at the shots market for Andersen, who is a big threat coming up from the back for set-pieces. Andersen has registered two shots so far this season, coming against Liverpool and City, and he can take advantage of Brentford’s troubles on the road. Continuing on from the end of last season, The Bees have conceded two goals in each of their last four away games, something which the home side will no doubt look at.
At a price of over EVS with Paddy Power, expect Andersen to be tightly marked in the box for any deliveries in, and if you fancy him to register a shot on target, you can also get him at 6/1 with the same firm.
Similarly to Andersen, Eberechi Eze has also had a significant impact this season. Second to only Kevin De Bruyne in big chances created among midfielders in the Premier League, Eze has registered assists away at Liverpool and Man City so far this campaign.
In fact, KDB is one of only four players to have registered more assists than Palace’s silky midfielder in 2021/22, and we’re looking to Eze to add another number onto his tally.
The Eagles’ good record of only two losses in their last nine league games at home will give them belief to take the game to the visitors, and with the potential absence of Zaha again, Eze will be looked to as the main creator.
Paddy Power are offering 4/1 for Eze to record another assist. Good luck if you’re following any of these bets, and please gamble responsibly.
