Cross Game Multi Tips: Barkley & Werner to hit the target on Saturday

Our man @JJValueHunter is back with three tips for Saturday that come across three games in the Premier League starting at 12:30pm
Timo Werner 2+ shots on target - 11/10 betfair
Saturday's lunchtime kick-off sees Steve Bruce and his injury-hit Magpies square up against a Chelsea team who have been playing as well as any side in Europe over the last four matches, so it's no surprise I’m keen to get a Chelsea man onside in the Shots on target market. Werner has scored in his last four Chelsea starts and is odds-on in most places to keep that run going. Instead I’m backing him to have 2+ Shots on target at 11/10.
Werner has also been given penalty duty for the season which is a huge bonus for this market with the rise in penalties that have been awarded so far. The return to fitness of Ziyech is another big plus, his creative nous alongside Werner's clever movement will likely be a dangerous weapon for Chelsea this season and I’m hopeful we will see glimpses this weekend against a depleted Newcastle side.
Next up we have an Aston Villa side who know a win here will likely send them to the top of the league for a short time at least. Dean Smith’s side have been slightly unpredictable this season with a couple of worrying defeats vs Leeds and Southampton sandwiched between impressive wins vs Liverpool, Leicester and Arsenal.
Brighton have continued to play slightly better than their results suggest but you can only blame variance for so long. Grealish will no doubt get the headlines again here but for me his performances have elevated to a new level due to his link up play with Ross Barkley, and the ex Chelsea man is my preferred angle here. Barkley is Villa’s most prolific shooter this season averaging 3.4 shots per game which makes the 10/11 for 1+ shot on target (and 5/1 for 2+) look like a solid play. He was perhaps unlucky not to earn an England recall but Dean Smith will no doubt be glad he was overlooked having played every minute for Villa since signing and he should be fully fit to play another full 90 here.
I’m finishing with what should be a routine win for Manchester United, West Brom are still looking for their first win of the season and Bilic has confirmed there has been a Covid outbreak within the squad with at least 2 first team players missing (although he’s yet to publicly name who). United have plenty of attacking options to pick from with Rashford and Martial supposedly shaking off knocks and Greenwood not being selected for England.
I’m confident United will be too strong here and I’m liking the 3/1 available on them having 19+ shots. West Brom have played two top-six sides so far this season and have conceded 19 and 22 shots in those matches. When you factor in the potential for West Brom to be missing a few key players then it looks a great price.
