Club Brugge vs Man City Tips: Three selections for Pep's trip to Belgium

Champions League football returns as Club Brugge host Manchester City live on BT Sport. Brugge will attempt to continue their dreamy start to Group A on Tuesday evening as City will look to bounce back from a tough defeat vs Paris Saint-Germain.
Brugge currently occupy second place in the group, sitting comfortably on four points after two games. They followed up the impressive 1-1 draw with PSG by beating Leipzig 2-1 on match-day 2. A 2-0 win on the weekend vs Kortrijk means they head into this fixture full of confidence. What will be a concern though is their record vs English clubs – winless in 12 matches picking up just the 3 draws in the process.
As for the away side, City got back to winning ways with a routine 2-0 win vs Burnley in their last outing. Currently, on three points after two games, Guardiola and his players will understand the importance of picking up a result here at the Jan Breydal Stadion.
Club Brugge v Man City Tips:
For my best bet, I’m heading once again to the Asian lines. I feel this game has been priced too heavy in the expectancy of goals and I am happy to play against that.
City should have enough to edge this game but have definitely lacked a clinical edge in recent weeks and they’ll be up against a stubborn Brugge side who for sure won’t rollover.
Pep’s men have only managed to score five goals in their last four Premier League games and did blank in their last Champions League outing. Under 2.5 has landed in three of City’s last four and I am expecting goals to be at a premium here.
Under 3.0 goal line means we are refunded if 3 goals are scored, with anything less resulting in a winner. So that will be my best bet for this fixture.
Laporte should continue his place in the starting XI here and I think he’s definitely worth a look for booking at this price.
Booked in 50% of his league appearances this season proves he isn’t shy of card, and we have a referee who loves to dish them out. City’s high line can often leave Dias and Co exposed in transition and the tactical fouls can then rack up.
Laporte is priced around 13/5 elsewhere so is a bumper price here with Bet365.
For the longshot, I am happy to combine the bets already reasoned for a juicy 40/1 shot.
All being said I do fancy city to come away victorious here but goals could be hard to come by. A low-scoring Man City win along with a Laporte booking completes my longshot for some added interest Tuesday evening.
