Neither side has seen their season go to plan and in what looks like an open game, we’ve asked our man Anthony Eadson to preview the action and provide us with his best bets.

Chelsea vs Manchester United Tips
It has been well documented over the past few weeks just how many shots Manchester United have been conceding and both my betting angles on Thursday evening include selections relating to that market.
The first of those is for Mauricio Pochettino’s side to have Over 17.5 Shots in the match. At the time of writing this can be backed at even money (1/1) with Stoke-based bookmaker bet365. This price is currently considerably bigger than other firms with Betfair and Paddy Power going 1/2 and Sky Bet marginally longer at 4/6.
Manchester United’s opponents have cleared the 17.5 shots line in six of their last seven Premier League matches. The shot totals of their opponents in that period read: 31, 23, 27, 17, 22, 23, 22.
It has been clear to see both with the data and on the eye-test that United have allowed their opponents incredible amounts of chances in the last two months and for my second selection I’m going one step further and backing Over 22.5 shots for Chelsea. Brentford racked up a remarkable 31 shots on Saturday against The Red Devils and I feel even a mediocre Chelesa side can rack up 23+ on Thursday.
I’ll also be including Chelsea to have Over 6 corners in the match. I feel there is a strong correlation here between the shots market and the corners market for a specific team. In United’s last seven league outings they have conceded corner totals of: 10, 7, 11, 8, 8, 7, 8 and combining the Chelsea to have Over 6, with The Blues to let off 23 or more shots pays 7/1 via the bet365 Bet Builder.
