Chelsea v Fulham Tips: Best bets for the west London derby

Live on Sky Sports, Chelsea host Fulham at Stamford Bridge this Saturday at 5.30pm. The Blues will be full of confidence after putting in an impressive performance in the Champions League semifinals against Real Madrid where they drew 1-1 but probably deserved more. There is no doubt that Tuchel will have one eye on the 2nd leg and there could be some rotation here but getting a result here is still vital for them to finish inside those UCL spots.
Fulham ended their run of 4 defeats in a row with a 1-1 draw away against Arsenal and come into this game knowing they can’t afford to drop any more points if they are to survive relegation this season. An intriguing clash awaits us and I have 3 bets for this game as usual.
Team News:
Kovacic is out for Chelsea. No other suspensions/injuries to worry about. Rotation is expected. Tom Cairney, Kangolo and Ruben Loftus Cheek are out for Fulham while Tete and Marek Rodak are doubtful.
Chelsea possible starting lineup:
Mendy, James, Zouma, Christensen, Rudiger, Alonso, Jorginho, Mount, Ziyech, Hudson Odoi, Havertz
Fulham possible starting lineup:
Areola, Aina, Andersen, Adarabioyo, Robinson, Lemina, Reed, Cordova-Reid, Cavaleiro, Lookman, Maja
This bet has been extremely profitable for us in games involving Chelsea and I am sticking with the same strategy here. Fulham have seen under 2.5 goals in 5/6 of their last away games in the PL.
Chelsea have seen under 2.5 goals in 13 of their last 16 games in all competitions. They have also seen under 2.5 goals in their last 6 home games against Fulham in all competitions. Solid and organised at the back but lacking firepower upfront so unders looks like the best way to go here with 1pt staked @ 9/10.
Chelsea’s lack of firepower up top means Mount has been getting involved in the attack more often than usual. He also loves a pop from distance. In his last PL outing he had 3 shots from outside the box going very close to scoring on multiple occasions. That should give him confidence and I expect him to get at least 1 against Fulham. 11/4 is an attractive price and I will have a 0.5pt stake on that.
Havertz is expected to start up top for Chelsea after coming off the bench vs Real Madrid midweek. Bobby Reid is Fulham’s most booked player with 7 cautions. 18/1 looks a big price for this double and I’m happy to have it has my longshot for this game.
