Chelsea vs. Tottenham Hotspur Betting Tips: Two bets for the standout fixture of the weekend

Chelsea vs Tottenham Odds
Live on Sky Sports, Chelsea host fierce rivals Tottenham in this highly anticipated London Derby this Sunday at Stamford Bridge. Thomas Tuchel’s men started off their Premier League campaign by picking up all 3 points away at Everton via a 1-0 win while Spurs emphatically came back from 1-0 down to beat Southampton 4-1 to go top of the table.
Chelsea were not at their best against Everton but their new signings Koulibaly and Sterling were extremely impressive at either ends of the pitch. New signing Marc Cucurella will be looking for his first Premier League start for Chelsea this weekend after a promising 15 minute cameo against Everton in which he looked very composed and sharp. The Blues have been incredibly dominant in this fixture in recent seasons having beaten their rivals in 5 of their last 6 meetings at Stamford Bridge.
Spurs are winless against Chelsea in their last 11 competitive games so getting a result here will certainly be an uphill task. However, Tottenham are a transformed side under Conte and have one of the best attacks in the league formed of Kane, Son & the in-form Kulusevski supported by their new signing Richarlison. They are among the favourites to finish inside top 4 and are shorter than Chelsea in the outright betting for the premier league title. Spurs certainly have more quality in the forward areas compared to Chelsea but such a high profile derby is always difficult to predict which is why I will be steering clear of result based bets in my preview.
A fierce London Derby awaits us and as usual, I have you covered with 2 of my best betting angles for this game included in the preview below:

Chelsea vs Tottenham Tips
This bet has landed in 6 of the last 7 head to head meetings between these 2 sides. Games between Chelsea and Spurs in recent history have been very tight with both sides trying to be cautious and not letting the other team have clear cut opportunities at goal. I expect the same trend to follow with Chelsea’s defence limiting Tottenham’s attack and Chelsea’s issues to continue in the final third of the pitch. That should mean limited amount of chances at goal.
Both sides will be expected to employ 3 central defenders with wing-backs getting involved in the attack and this could very well turn into a chess match with either side nicking it via a single goal. I don’t see either side going all out attack and leaving spaces in behind so I think odds of 8/9 at SBK present great value for a 1pt stake and I am happy to take that as our main bet for this game.
Rodrigo Bentancur picked up 5 yellow cards in 16 appearances last season. He loves to get stuck in and had 5 tackles against Southampton last week including 3 fouls which led to him getting booked. Kalidou Koulibaly was lucky not to pick up a yellow card against Everton for pulling Gordon’s shirt on the counter and I am expecting that scenario to be repeated multiple times with Son and Kulusevski leading Tottenham’s counter attacks. This double looks a big price @ 14/1 with card-happy ref Anthony Taylor taking charge and I am happy to take it as our longshot with a small 0.25pt stake.
