Live on Sky Sports, Chelsea host fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the premier league this Sunday at Stamford Bridge at 4.30pm. This is a massive game in the race for the top 4 champions league spots with Spurs 8 points behind Chelsea with 4 games in hand.
Chelsea v Spurs Tips
Thomas Tuchel’s blues are going through a rough patch in the league at the moment winning just 1 out of their last 7 Premier League fixtures. They have scored 2+ goals in just 2 out of the 7 league games so it is pretty clear that their attacking players are still not clicking and chemistry is lacking.
Their fantastic start to the season was due to defensive stability but the loss of their 2 starting fullbacks combined with a midfield injury crisis has dealt a huge blow to their title aspirations and as a result they have been dragged into a top 4 battle.
Tuchel will know anything other than 3 points will not be acceptable and he will certainly take confidence from their excellent head to head record over Tottenham beating them 3 out of 3 times this season so far not conceding a single goal in the process.
However, Conte will have definitely learned from those losses and we could be in for a competitive clash this time around specially after Tottenham’s incredible stoppage time comeback against Leicester where they came back from 2-1 down to win 3-2 scoring the winning goal in the 97th minute. That win will surely lift the visitor’s spirits and Conte will make them believe that they can go to Stamford Bridge and bring all 3 points back home.
A mouth-watering London Derby awaits us and as usual I have you covered with my 2 best betting angles for this game included in the preview below:

Chelsea v Tottenham Odds
- Over 0 goals for Chelsea
- Both teams to receive a card - YES
- Over 1 cards in the 2nd half for both teams combined
- Over 20.5 free kicks in the match for both teams combined
Chelsea have scored a goal in their last 13/13 home games in all competitions. They have scored in their last 5/5 head to head meetings against Tottenham as well beating them in all 3 meetings so far this season.
Card-happy ref Paul Tierney is in charge of this fierce derby and considering the top 4 race is heating up, I expect a physical game full of hard tackles and cynical fouls. This should result in a card for either side and the final 45 minutes should see majority of the bookings so I will include at least 2 yellow cards in the 2nd half.
Following up from that, there should be a lot of free kicks in the game considering the circumstances and the derby element. Combining these 4 selections gives us a solid bet builder @ 1.80 and I am happy to stake 1pt on this as our main bet for Sunday’s main event.
Antonio Rudiger has scored 3 goals so far this season with 2 of those coming against Tottenham including the decisive header in Chelsea’s 1-0 away win over them in the league cup 2 weeks ago.
11/1 is a massive price for a bet that has landed in 2 out of their 3 meetings so far this season and considering Tottenham’s poor record from the set pieces recently, I am happy to bet on Rudiger to score anytime with a very small 0.25pt stake on it.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
