Chelsea vs Man Utd Odds: Bet on Bruno to lose his head at the Bridge

We've enlisted @Wizard_Season to take a look at the big Premier League clash of the weekend as he gives his Chelsea vs Man Utd tips along with the odds and best bets for the most popular markets.
Live on Sky Sports, league leaders Chelsea host Manchester United in this blockbuster Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday at 4.30pm. Thomas Tuchel’s blues come into this game full of confidence after handing Juventus the biggest European defeat in their history (4-0).
It was a perfect performance from Chelsea following on from their 3-0 thrashing of Leicester. Despite missing strikers Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner, it has not affected their goalscoring record in the slightest and on current form, they are being talked about as the best team in Europe.
Chelsea v Man Utd Tips
As for Manchester United, they sit ninth in the table 12 points behind Chelsea and are on a horrible run of form in the Premier League with just one win out of their last seven league games. The 4-1 defeat to Watford led to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking and new interim manager Ralf Rangnick will be in charge of them here.
United will take positives from their 2-0 win in the Champions League midweek though, as they produced a clinical performance against Villarreal with their main man Cristiano Ronaldo on the scoresheet again. If Manchester United are to pull off a result against Chelsea on current form, they will have to be at their very best. They will take confidence from their recent record at Stamford Bridge though, as the visitors have not lost here in their last five visits in all competitions.
On paper this game has all the ingredients for a straightforward Chelsea win but Premier League games aren’t won on paper and the blues will have to produce another solid performance to stay top of the league. A thrilling clash is on the cards and I have included my three best bets for this game in the preview below:
Team News:
Mateo Kovacic, Ngolo Kante & Ben Chilwell are out for Chelsea while Havertz is doubtful.
Raphael Varane, Pogba, Cavani, Maguire and Greenwood are out for Manchester United while Fred & Luke Shaw are doubtful.
Chelsea possible starting lineup:
Mendy; Chalobah, Silva, Rudiger; James, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek, Alonso; Mount, Hudson-Odoi; Werner
Manchester United possible starting lineup:
De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Bailly, Telles; Matic, McTominay; Sancho, Fernandes, Rashford; Ronaldo
- Over 0 goals in the match for Chelsea
- Under 2 goals in the match for Manchester United
- Under 5 goals in the match for both teams combined
- Over 0 cards in the 2nd half for Manchester United
I expect Manchester United to come to Stamford Bridge and try to play on the counter with Chelsea dominating possession. Having scored 7 goals in their last 2 games,
Chelsea’s attack is clicking and they should be able to put the ball in the back of the net against a poor Manchester United defence.
Chelsea’s formidable defence has conceded just 4 goals all season so one of the selections I have gone for here is Manchester United Under 1.5 team goals.
Under 5 goals selection has landed in their last 24/24 head to head meetings so I have added that as well to boost up the odds.
Finally, I have gone for a Manchester United card in the 2nd half as I expect Chelsea to be leading and United halting a Chelsea counter attack to pick up a yellow card. Combining these four selections gives us a solid bet builder @ 4/5 and I am happy to stake 1pt on that.
Chelsea are deservedly top of the league and on current form it is hard to back against them.
They are rock solid at the back and clinical going forward. They should win the midfield battle against a weak United midfield and get all 3 points at home.
Reece James has been Chelsea’s player of the season so far. He has scored 3 goals in his last 4 games for the blues and is a huge threat from that right wing back position.
Combining these 2 selections on Betfair gives us a cracking double @ 21/10 and I am happy to stake a small 0.5pt on that.
Bruno Fernandes has picked up 3 cards in the Premier League this season so far in 12 appearances and he is always fired up for these big games.
I can see him getting frustrated in the midfield and he also has a history of picking up yellow cards for dissent.
Reece James is on a great goalscoring run for Chelsea right now as he is the top scorer in the Premier League for the Blues with 4 goals.
Combining these 2 selections gives us a massive longshot @ 31/1 and I will take that with a very small 0.25pt stake.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
