Chelsea vs. Crystal Palace Predictions: 5/1 bet builder amongst best bets at Wembley

Live on ITV, Chelsea go up against Crystal Palace in the semi final of the FA Cup at the Wembley Stadium this Sunday.
Chelsea put in an excellent performance midweek beating Real Madrid in Madrid but it wasn’t enough to book a Champions League semi final spot as the Spanish giants went through 5-4 on aggregate.
The FA Cup is the only piece of silverware the Blues can win this season so the motivation should be sky high to get to the final of this competition for the 3rd season in a row.
Chelsea v Crystal Palace Tips
Crystal Palace have eliminated the likes of Everton, Stoke City, Hartlepool & Millwall on their way to the semi final and will be looking to pull off a major upset by defeating the current European Champions.
Chelsea have been victorious against Palace in their last 9 consecutive head to head meetings and Tuchel will be looking to make it 10 in a row this Sunday.
The Blues were made to work hard for their 1-0 win at Selhurst Park earlier this season and Patrick Vieira will be looking for his men to make it an uncomfortable evening for Chelsea and keep it tight at the back.
A massive FA Cup semifinal clash awaits us and as usual, I have you covered with two of my best betting angles included in the preview below:
Team News:
Ben Chilwell & Callum Hudson-Odoi are out for Chelsea while Romelu Lukaku & Ross Barkley are doubtful.
Nathan Ferguson and Conor Gallagher are out for Crystal Palace while Michael Olise, Tyrick Mitchell & Will Hughes are doubtful.
Chelsea possible starting lineup:
Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger; James, Kovacic, Kante, Alonso; Mount, Werner; Havertz
Crystal Palace possible starting lineup:
Guaita; Clyne, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell; McArthur, Kouyate, Schlupp; Ayew, Mateta, Zaha
- Kai Havertz Over 1.5 shots in the match
- Chelsea to qualify
Kai Havertz has cleared this line in his last five consecutive Premier League starts and had six shots against Real Madrid in the Champions League midweek.
He is Chelsea’s biggest threat at the moment and should get enough chances to have at least two attempts on goal.
For the second part of the bet builder, Chelsea have been in sublime form this past week, putting six goals past Southampton and then beating Real Madrid in their own backyard. There is enough quality and experience in that Chelsea side to qualify for their third consecutive FA Cup final in a row.
Combining these two selections gives us a solid bet builder @ 4/5 and I am happy to stake 1pt on that as our main bet for this all-important FA Cup clash.
Mason Mount leads the assist leaderboard for Chelsea with 11 so far this season. He has assisted a goal in his last 2/2 appearances for Chelsea and is playing his best football of the season right now. Considering he also takes corners for Chelsea, backing him to bag another assist here seems a sensible option.
Marcos Alonso has had 14 shots in his last five Premier League starts for Chelsea, averaging almost three per game. He had three shots against Crystal Palace earlier this season at Stamford Bridge and I am expecting him to get at least two efforts on goal again here.
Combining these two selections gives us an attractive double @ 5/1 and I am happy to stake a very small 0.25pt on that as my final bet for this game.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
