Celtic vs. Shakhtar Betting Tips: Back Mudryk to find the net at a big price

It’s Matchday 5 in the Champions League this week and in Group F Shakhtar Donetsk travel to Scotland to take on Celtic in Glasgow. We’ve previewed the action and have provided you with two bets that we like the look of.
Celtic have just one point so far in their Champions League group campaign which came when they travelled to Poland in Matchday 2 to face Tuesday’s opponents in the reverse fixture. Qualification for the knockout stages of the Europa League is still a possibility for Celtic with four points separating themselves and Shakhtar who sit third in the table.
The Ukrainian side have collected five points so far from a possible 12, with some positive results in the form of a 4-1 win against RB Leipzig and a 1-1 draw away at Real Madrid. Shakhtar are just one point behind Leipzig in the standings and a win here in Scotland could see them climb into the top-two should the German outfit fail to beat Los Blancos.
Celtic came from 2-1 down to secure a 4-3 win against Hibs at the weekend and sit four points clear at the top of their domestic league. Manager Ange Postecoglou’s only injury concern for the match will be Callum McGregor who is ruled out.
Celtic vs Shakhtar Tips
The first selection we are touting in this Champions League clash is for the visitors to earn at least a point and we are backing them in the Double Chance market at a shade above even money at 21/20.
As mentioned above, Shakhtar have already managed some strong results in this Group campaign and arrive here with the opportunity to confirm some form of knockout football, whether that be in the Champions League or the Europa League. Celtic have failed to win their last seven matches in Europe and we think the price of 4/5 for them to take the three points here looks incredibly short. 10bet are currently best-priced on the Double Chance for Shakhtar which looks the wise play here on Tuesday.
Another selection that we couldn’t ignore here comes from bet365 where Mykhailo Mudryk looks heavily overpriced at 15/2 to get himself on the scoresheet anytime in the match. The 21-year-old has scored two goals in four Champions League outings this term, as well as a further three in six appearances in his domestic league.
Shakhtar have scored in all four group matches so far and we think they can really trouble Celtic here. Other firms such as Paddy Power and Betfair have this same selection for Mudryk to score at just 3/1, whilst Boyles take an even more conservative approach at just 11/4. All things considered 15/2 certainly looks an attractive option here with bet365.
Please gamble responsibly.
