Celtic vs. RB Leipzig Betting Tips: Focus on Andre Silva in crunch clash

Celtic go hunting for their first win in Group F on Tuesday when they host RB Leipzig in a crucial Champions League clash at Parkhead.
We've previewed the match and picked out a couple of Andre Silva focused bets below...
Celtic vs RB Leipzig Tips
One point from a possible nine leaves Celtic rock-bottom of the group after three matches. A 3-0 defeat to reigning champions Real Madrid was followed by a draw against Shakhtar Donetsk, then a 3-1 defeat in Germany last week thanks to goals from Andre Silva (2) and Chelsea-linked Christopher Nkunku. Failure to win on Tuesday is, realistically, likely to end their hopes of making the knockout-stages.
As for RB Leipzig, the win last week was their first of the campaign following back-to-back defeats to Shakhtar Donetsk and Real Madrid. However, they now have the chance to register consecutive wins which could lift them up to 2nd in the table.
It’s the visitors who edge it in the betting at 23/20 to return home with the spoils, Celtic are priced at 9/4 to carve out their first group stage win in the competition since the 2017/18 campaign, while a draw can be backed at an appealing 14/5.
Celtic have to go for it on Tuesday, which could leave the hosts vulnerable at the back. They’ve conceded in each of their last six matches in all competitions, including seven goals in the Champions League, while they've only managed one shuttout in their last 12 matches in Europe.
RB Leipzig possess plenty of threats in the final third, from Timo Werner and Christopher Nkunku to André Silva. In particular, it’s the latter that could haunt Celtic once again in this return clash.
Silva had a whopping nine shots in RB Leipzig’s 3-1 win last week, with his two goals coming from four shots on target. At 2/1 he looks a great price to go over 1.5 shots on target once again on Tuesday.
For the second tip, I’m going for a carbon copy of last week’s duel when it comes to the total goals and goalscorer.
Over three goals has landed in six of Leipzig’s last nine Champions League matches, including twice already this season. While it makes for entertaining encounters, their attacking style often sees them struggle at the other end of the pitch, reflected in a whopping 37 goals conceded in their last 16 matches in the competition - they’ve kept just one clean sheet during that time.
Meanwhile, six of Celtic’s matches this season have cleared over three goals.
As mentioned in the first bet, striker Silva was a thorn in the side of Celtic in Germany and we’re backing him to once again record over 1.5 shots on target on Tuesday night.
