Burnley vs. Norwich Betting Tips: Two Clarets based bets for Tuesday's Championship encounter
There’s two Championship fixtures taking place on Tuesday night, and one of them wouldn’t have looked out of shape in the Premier League in recent seasons. We’re going to preview Burnley vs Norwich, and look to pick out two winning bets following a good weekend of profit at BettingOdds.com
Burnley vs Norwich Tips
After coming from 2-0 down to win 4-2 at the weekend, Vincent Kompany’s Burnley have now extended their unbeaten run to 14 games in all competitions, and the Man City legend has still only lost one game as The Clarets’ boss. No side has scored more goals than Burnley in England’s second tier, and they currently have the best goal difference in the division after scoring four goals in two of their last three games.
The home fans will be looking for another win here to take them above Lancashire rivals Blackburn to the top of the table.
For Norwich, the feelgood factor couldn’t be much different around the club. Although the currently sit seventh in the table, their form over the last six games has them in 20th place, with just one win in that time. There seems to be a real sense of dissolution between the manager and the fans at the minute, with a worrying number of supporters becoming fed up with the style of play that the Canaries employ.
Norwich will be facing two of the current top three over the next 10 days, and the pressure will only increase if they can’t get something positive out of these fixtures.
Starting off, we’re looking at the hometown striker to score for The Clarets. Rodriguez is Burnley’s top scorer this season, with seven goals in his first 14 games this season, and is currently averaging 0.62 goals per 90 minutes.
What’s interesting about Rodriguez’s form this season is that almost all of his goals have come at Turf Moor, five out of seven, to be exact. Without a goal in his last two games (both away from home), J-Rod will be keen to add to the brace he scored last time out, and at odds of 9/4 with Bet365, we like the look of him doing just that for our first bet.
Next up, we’re looking for the home side to win, with both teams to score added on, taking our bet to 10/3 with Bet365. Burnley are just over EVS to win outright, which was tempting, but their recent BTTS form gives us more hope for this landing. BTTS has landed in four of Burnley’s last six games, and the same figures also apply for Norwich’s recent six-game spell.
The only real cause for concern for The Clarets faithful of late has been an occasional inability to see out games, conceding late to Birmingham and Stoke over the last few weeks. Their confidence and good form should see them run out as winners, but with league top scorer Josh Sargent and the always-troublesome Teemu Pukki in the opposition, there will no doubt be chances for the visitors.
Best of luck if you’re following these bets, and please remember to gamble responsibly.
