Middlesbrough vs Southampton
Starting in the Championship, we have a clash between two teams who, before the season at least, were expected to be bang in the mix for promotion.
Fast-forward to seven matches in and last season's beaten play-off semi-finalists, Middlesbrough, are rock-bottom and without a win, while after an initial bright start Southampton have lost three games on the spin to drop down to 13th.
Instead, this match pits together two of the worst defences in the league: Southampton have leaked in a league-high 17 goals - and conceded four or more goals in three different games - while Middlesbrough's backline has been breached 14 times.
Who will win this one is anyone's guess, but I'm pretty sure there will be a fair amount of goalmouth action and calamity errors.
Rotherham vs Preston
Who would have guessed that Preston would be sitting pretty at the summit of the Championship after seven matches? Certainly not me. Ryan Lowe's in-form troops have accumulated an unmatched 19 points so far, now they head to Yorkshire hunting for more points.
In contrast, Rotherham are dangling dangerously above the drop zone in 21st and have, statistically, the second most porous defence in the division (16 goals conceded).
BTTS has been a key theme in Preston's 2023/24 journey so far, landing in six of their eight games in all competitions.
The Millers may be starved of wins but I do expect them to find the back of the net. They have scored in eight of their last nine home games, with BTTS landing in the last four straight, while they recently handed Norwich their first defeat of the season.
Crewe vs Colchester
We now dart down into League two for the battle between Crewe and Colchester.
Crewe absolutely love a 2-2 draw this season, stamping this scoreline on the board a whopping four times already, as well as the final game of last term.
Their last three games alone have been jam-packed with a whopping 13 goals in 3-1 and 4-1 defeats of MK Dons and Forest Green Rovers, and yes you guessed it, a 2-2 draw last time out at AFC Wimbledon.
BTTS has been green ticked in three of Colchester's last five away trips, which includes a 2-2 draw at Cardiff in the cup, while they drew 1-1 at home to Mansfield in their last league game.
For those interested, a 2-2 draw can be backed at 12/1...
Stockport vs Wrexham
Fourth and finally we have the intriguing duel between Stockport and Wrexham.
Wrexham's eight games have contained a staggering 35 goals, averaging out at 4.37 goals per game. They've scored the 2nd most in League Two (20) while only rock-bottom Sutton have conceded more goals than Wrexham's 15.
The Red Dragons now make the trip to Stockport, who have seen BTTS in their last four games - including a 3-2 and 3-3 - and eight of the last nine in all competitions.
