Brentford vs Tottenham Prediction, Lineups and Odds: Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa tipped in 2pm clash

Brentford continue to impress, with Thomas Frank’s team occupying a respectable 11th place in the Premier League, seven points ahead of Tottenham in 15th.

Goals are a continuous theme, especially at the Brentford Community Stadium where the Bees have scored 29 and conceded 23 in 12 matches; an average of 4.33 per game. Their attacking stars Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa have scored 25 goals this term and look primed to pounce on a vulnerable Spurs side.

Life as a Tottenham fan must be tough. The club has so much potential, and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is in a league of its own. However, performances and results haven’t lived up to expectations. Injuries have hit hard, but there’s only so much sympathy that can be given.

With both teams far better at going forward than they are at the back, backing goals seems the obvious option.

I’ll be stunned if they prevent an attack-minded Brentford side from finding the back of the net.

With the statistics and both sides' inability to defend, backing goals is how I want to go. Each of the previous five H2H encounters has seen four goals or more. Chaos is likely, we know how Brentford attack matches at home. They’re always looking to move the ball forward and pace. Frank will have a game plan that will cause plenty of problems.

Meanwhile, attack is the best form of defence for Spurs. They’re likely to score a couple but conceding just as many wouldn’t be surprising.

An impressive 18 of Mbeumo and Wissa’s goals have arrived at this venue. The forwards have nine a piece across 12 Premier League matches. It’s a brilliant record.

How can we not back the emphatic duo to find the back of the net again? It’s an appealing price of 6/1 for both to score considering the opposition. This selection landed in this fixture last term inside 36 minutes.

With Brentford the 11/10 favourites and priced at 8/15 to score two or more goals, the 6/1 price on the Cameroonian and the man from the Democratic Republic of Congo can’t be ignored. Thomas Frank will be keen to get these two firing once again.

Spurs have conceded 39.2xG this term, only five sides have a worse figure. Only Southampton have collected fewer points than their four across the last 10 games. It’s a side that can be gotten at with relative ease.
