Brentford v Liverpool Prediction: Back the Reds to continue good form

After both of these sides picked up cup wins in the week, the Premier League returns as Brentford host Liverpool in the capital live on Sky Sports Saturday teatime.
Brentford have enjoyed their start to life in the Premier League, which may have came as a shock to some. They currently sit in the top half after picking up 8 points from their opening 5 games (W2, D2,L1). A 2-0 win vs Wolves last game week followed by a 7-0 smashing to Oldham in the cup will be a good confidence boost as they face their toughest test yet in Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.
However, this Liverpool side look like they mean business this season and many feel a title charge wouldn’t be out the question if they can stay injury free. Liverpool have continued their excellent end to last season this campaign and are currently unbeaten in 15 league games, winning 12 and drawing 3. A win here for Klopps side would be huge to continue their 100% away record in a weekend where other title contenders will drop points as they come head to head.
Brentford v Liverpool Tips
A winning bet slip here would mean we would need Liverpool to win the match by two or more goals, with our stake being refunded if they only manage to win by 1.
The Reds have seen this bet land in all 4 of their Premier League wins this season, with it only failing to win vs European Champions Chelsea. They have also won their last 3 away fixtures by a score line of 3-0, and the attacking data supports Liverpool to notch a few again here. Klopps side are averaging a staggering xg of 3.19 per game and with talisman Mohamed Salah starting the season on fire It’s hard to look past the away side.
The return of Virgil Van Dijk combined with Alisson playing at the top of his game has meant Liverpool have only conceded one goal in the league this season. Brentford will undoubtedly try and make it tough for them but ultimately I see this as a test too far for The Bees Saturday evening.
Henderson has been in fine form as of late and even managed a goal in the Champions League last week. 7/2 looks a cracking price for him to have a shot on target vs Brentford.
This bet has landed in all 3 of Henderson’s recent games, despite one being a 27 minute cameo vs Leeds. Occupying as an 8 with Fabinho sitting deeper is allowing him to get forward and his shot data supports that. He’s managing 2 shots per 90 minutes this season across the Champions league and Premier League so I expect him to get a few opportunities to pull the trigger once again popping up in and around the Brentford box. 2 on target is priced at 20/1 if you fancy a larger price, a bet that did land vs AC Milan last Wednesday.
I’ve already mentioned the reasoning as to why I think Liverpool will win this game, but for my longshot I’m going to poke at a correct score.
11/1 seems generous for a bet that has landed in 4/7 games for Liverpool in all competitions, including both of their previous 2 Premier League games.
