Blackburn vs. Wigan Betting Tips: Dack to find the net at Ewood Park

Blackburn Rovers take on Wigan Athletic at Ewood Park on Monday evening and we’ve got our man Anthony Eadson on hand with his best bets for the game.
Blackburn vs Wigan Odds
Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side can move back into the play-off spots with a win live on Sky Sports tonight, but after their inconsistency this campaign the majority of the fanbase do not believe a promotion push is possible this time round.
Rovers have lost 13 league games this season, which is four more than Rotherham who sit 12 places behind them in the table. Blackburn do however, have one of the best home records this term with nine wins from a possible nine, and after missing out on Lewis O’Brien on deadline day, three points here would be very welcome to restore some positivity for the former Premier League winners.
After their FA Cup exit to Luton, Wigan parted ways with manager Kolo Toure. It’s now nine games in all competitions since The Latics last won. Former player Shaun Maloney is now in charge of the club who now sit bottom of the Championship table with 25 points after 28 matches.
Taking a look at the match result odds on Monday and betting sites have priced Blackburn as the odds-on favourites to take the three points at 19/20. The draw can be backed 12/5, with a big away win for Wigan available at 16/5.
Blackburn vs Wigan Tips
Our first selection of the evening is for Bradley Dack to get his name on the scoresheet anytime in the game. There is quite a discrepancy between prices from certain firms here but we’re recommending the 14/5 (3.8) showing from Unibet and BetUK, with others such as Paddy Power and Betfair going considerably shorter at 15/8.
Rovers haven’t exactly been oozing goals of late with Ben Brereton having failed to score in all of his last ten starts for the East Lancashire side. One man who has looked lively though is Bradley Dack who has scored in two of his last three matches and hit the post in the other he didn’t manage to find the net in.
Growing in confidence and fitness after a horrendous few years with injury, Dack looks to be getting back towards his best and with those late surging runs into the box can hopefully bring us a winner here against a club he has scored against three times in his career.
Wigan have conceded 15 goals across their last five league matches and have not kept a clean sheet for 17 games in all competitions. That last clean sheet came against Blackburn in a 1-0 win back in October and for our second bet at Ewood Park we are backing Scott Wharton to find the net anytime.
The Rovers centre-back has played 12 home league matches this season and has scored in three of those. Only four clubs have conceded more goals from set-pieces this season than Wigan and with that in mind 15/1 looks a little generous with Unibet.
