Blackburn vs. Sheffield United Betting Tips: Sorba Thomas a big price to hit the target at Ewood Park

Blackburn Rovers take on Sheffield United live on Sky Sports on Saturday lunchtime with both sides currently inside the top-four of the second tier table. We’ve asked our resident Rovers fan Anthony Eadson to provide us with his best bets for the game.
Rovers are one of only a handful of clubs inside England’s top-four divisions who are yet to play a game at the new Wembley Stadium, but after advancing to the FA Cup quarter-finals win against Leicester on Tuesday, Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side are just one game away from a trip to the home of football.
Sheffield United also made it through to the last eight of the FA Cup with a superb home win over Tottenham in midweek. The Blades ended up being drawn against Blackburn in their quarter-final tie, but first the pair must face off in the league, with both sides looking to take a step closer to a promotion push.
Blackburn vs Sheffield United Tips
For the first bet on Saturday lunchtime I’ve opted for a bet builder double from the player fouls market. The two players in question are Tyrhys Dolan and Oliver Norwood and when combining the pair to give away a foul, 7/5 is on offer with either Paddy Power or Betfair.
Due to injuries to both Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton, Tyrhys Dolan has been enjoying a good run of starts in the Blackburn side, and has put in some of his best performances in a blue and white shirt, with two goals in his last three matches, against Leicester and Blackpool. When it comes to fouls, Dolan has committed 1+ in all of his last six starts for Blackburn with foul totals of 5,1,1,2,1,1.
Paired with Dolan will be Oliver Norwood, who away from home in the Championship this season averages 0.9 fouls per game. The Blades midfielder has committed fouls in nine of his last 12 away matches and in four of his last five. Norwood looks a little too big of a price here in the fouls market and combining him and Dolan to give away 1+ pays 7/5.
I’ll also be having a little dabble on Sorba Thomas to record one or more shots on target in the match, which is on show at 13/5 with either Paddy Power or Betfair.
Since arriving at Ewood Park in January, Thomas has made a positive impact, and after being cup tied on Tuesday, he should be raring to go here. Thomas scored six league goals for Huddersfield last season, and has registered a shot on target in three of his six appearances for Rovers since his move. 13/5 looks a very generous price for a player lining up in the front three for the home side.
