Belgium vs Estonia Odds: Three picks for Saturday's clash

Live on Sky Sports, Belgium host Estonia in this all important World Cup Qualifier at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels this Saturday at 7.45pm. The hosts sit top of the group with 16pts coming into this game and a win should seal direct qualification for the 2022 World Cup. The red devils will be massive favourites to prevail despite some injury issues. They got the better of Estonia away from home in a 5-2 thrashing and even without their topscorer Romelu Lukaku, they have enough talent and creativity in their squad to open up the Estonian defence.
The away side come into this qualifier with nothing at stake except pride. They can not qualify for the world cup anymore but will want to go down fighting. In their last 3 qualifiers, they have looked a lot better as they beat Belarus 2-0 and also earned a point against Wales away from home. However, they will have to be at their very best if they are to have any chance of getting anything out of this game. Bookies see Belgium as huge favourites with the handicap line set at -3 and it is hard to argue against that. Even though Roberto Martinez’s men have lost their last 2 games in the Nations League, they will be expected to come away with a comfortable win here and as usual, I have you covered with my 3 best betting angles included in the preview below:
Team News:
Youri Tielemans, Romelu Lukaku, Michy Batshuayi, Jeremy Doku, Thomas Vermaelen and Toby Alderweireld are all out for Belgium.
Karl Hein, Mattias Käit, Bogdan Vastsuk and Märten Kuusk are all out for Estonia.
Serbia possible starting lineup:
Courtois; Denayer, Boyata, Vertonghen; Saelemaekers, Witsel, Vanaken, Carrasco; De Bruyne, Hazard; Benteke
Estonia possible starting lineup:
Igonen; Teniste, Paskotsi, Mets, Tamm, Pikk; Kreida, Vassiljev, Poom; Anier, Sappinen
Belgium vs Estonia Tips
Belgium can secure direct qualification with a win here and I expect them to do exactly that. This bet won comfortably in their last meeting as Belgium beat Estonia 5-2 in the away game and it should be landing comfortably here again. Despite a few injuries, Belgium’s squad is still full of quality and a goal in each half for them should be a banker. As Estonia are expected to be losing at halftime, I would expect them to pick up a card in the 2nd half on the counter and card happy referee Halil Meler should help as well. Combining these 3 picks gives us a solid betbuilder and I am happy to stake 1pt on it.
Belgium have won their 3 world cup qualifiers at home scoring 14 goals and conceding just 1 against Wales. They will be expected to dominate this game and win it without giving away too many chances to this Estonia side. With Lukaku out, Benteke is expected to start and he will have the likes of Hazard and De Bruyne creating chances for him so expect him to get on the scoresheet. Finally, their last head to head meeting with Estonia had 12 corners and I would not be surprised to see another cornerfest here. Take this PaddyPower special @ 5/2 with a small 0.5pt stake.
My thinking behind Witsel’s booking is that he is currently on 1 yellow card and with another booking he will miss Belgium’s clash against Wales which could be a meaningless game if they win here. An intentional yellow card would not be a surprise. Vanaken scored in their last game against Estonia and is consistently getting into goalscoring positions. Both these selections when combined give us a juicy longshot @ 15/1 and I am happy to stake a very small 0.5pt on it.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
