Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid Tips: Shots, cards and tackles bets advice for El Derbi

Sunday afternoon we head to the Wanda Metropolitano where Atletico host Real in a season defining Madrid derby. Simeone’s men currently top La Liga with 58 points and a game in hand over Madrid rivals who sit in 3rd with 53 points.
Zidane has many injury woes of late with the likes of Ramos, Hazard, Carvajal and Benzema all looking unlikely to take part here. On a positive note, Los Blancos do head into this match with some solid results, registering 5 wins and 1 draw in their last 6 matches.
Atletico have been incredible in La Liga this season, only losing twice in 24 matches. However, they lost back to back matches last month (agains Levante and Chelsea) for the first time in over a year! Simeone will most definitely have his men fighting for every ball at the weekend, doing everything they can to prevent Real closing that gap at the top of the table.
The Montenegrin defender, Stefan Savic, is a trusted starter for Simeone, playing 21 of 24 matches this season in La Liga. He has been pivotal at the back for the Madrid side, helping them register the lowest xGA (expected goals against) in La Liga (20.78).
In La Liga this season, Savic hasn’t been shy of going into the book. In just 21 appearances he has managed to go into the book an incredible 10 times (48%). In a feisty fixture that is renowned for cards galore, 21/10 (32%) really does look value even though a relatively short price for a card.
This fixture has seen 22 cards in the last 4 meetings between the sides with Savic going into the book in two of the last three. To add fuel to the fire, Alejandro Hernandez is taking the whistle for this derby and has a La Liga lifetime average of 5.7 yellows per game, brandishing a red card in almost a third of matches!
The versatile Spaniard has been putting in some solid performances lately. Last time out he registered a star man performance against Villareal without registering a goal or an assist. He has been playing in a couple of different positions for Simeone, either centrally or on the left side of a midfield his defensive output has been pretty impressive.
In his last 6 matches he has made 22 tackles (3.66pg) and is an extremely tasty price to continue this form in a feisty derby. William Hill have priced Saul Niguez at 13/8 to register over two tackles (three or more needed) which looks an incredible price with this bet landing in five of his last six matches.
For the brave punters out there, I have put together a longshot that looks like it holds some huge value. Savic as discussed above has registered 10 cards in 21 La Liga matches so he is a must for this same game multi. Casemiro has been a recent gem for Los Blancos in an attacking sense, massively increasing his output going forward. Growing up as an attacking player, he isn’t shy of having a pop at goal and has registered a shot on target in five of his last eight matches and at a tasty 11/4 looks a huge price to add to the selection. The final selection for the multi is corners. Real have won the corner count in 10 of their last 13 matches, whereas Atletico have only won the corner count in two of their last 11 matches.
These three selections all look tasty prices and accumulated create a huge same game multi. Best of luck for anyone following and please remember to gamble responsibly.
