Aston Villa vs Celtic Prediction, Lineups and Odds: Tonight's best bets in all-British clash

The final wave of Champions League group stage matches are about to begin with Aston Villa (9th) and Celtic (18th) both vying for a prized spot in the top-8, which guarantees qualification through to the last-16.
The two sides face off at Villa Park shortly at 8pm - live on TNT Sports 1 - setting the stage for an exciting all-British showdown in the Midlands.
Below, we’ve selected our two best bets, including a Shots on Target Bet Builder priced at 7/1 with Lottoland, who are offering new customers £20 in free bets when you sign up and place a £10 bet ahead of kick-off.
Aston Villa vs Celtic Prediction
Celtic have undoubtedly impressed in the Champions League this season, with their 12-point tally leaving them just one point shy of the top-8 heading into the final round of fixtures. Few would have predicted that the Bhoys would find themselves level on points with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich while sitting above the likes of Manchester City and PSG in the table. Remarkably, they’ve achieved this despite a humbling 8-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund in their second game.
However, earning a result in the Midlands might prove a step too far for the Scottish champions. Celtic have not won an away game in the Champions League group stage since 2017, with that lone victory over Anderlecht being their only win in 21 outings on the road, 15 of which have ended in defeat.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa have been formidable at Villa Park, defeating both Bayern Munich and Bologna and holding Juventus to a goalless draw. Impressively, they are yet to concede a single goal on home soil in the competition this season.
With this in mind, my opening bet is Aston Villa to Win & Under 3.5 Goals @ 29/20 with Lottoland. This selection has delivered in two of Villa’s three Champions League home games this season, as well as in four of their last six matches across all competitions at Villa Park.
Four of Celtic’s last five games in the competition have featured under 3.5 goals, including two goalless draws on the road. Since their heavy defeat away to Dortmund, Celtic have conceded just twice in those five matches, and I expect them to put up a competitive fight at Villa Park.

For my Bet Builder, I'm backing a Shots On Target hat-trick with Jhon Duran, Youri Tielemans, and Reo Hatate each tasked with having at least one shot on goal each, which can be backed at 7/1 with Lottoland.
Villa striker Jhon Duran has been in excellent form, scoring 12 goals this season, including three in the Champions League; the stand out moment was a memorable winner at home against Bayern Munich.
Teammate Youri Tielemans has also made his mark in the Champions League, netting the opener in Villa’s 3-0 win over Young Boys. He’s been increasingly involved in Villa's attack output, scoring in the recent 2-2 draw with Arsenal and recording nine shots in his last five league matches - compared to just two across his previous seven.
As for Celtic’s Reo Hatate, he has been a constant threat in the Champions League, taking 14 shots in his last four appearances, with five hitting the target, including Celtic's third in the impressive 3-1 win at home to RB Leipzig.
