Arsenal vs Newcastle Bet Builder Tips
Temporary centre forward Anthony Gordon is being handed an increasingly more important role by Eddie Howe with each passing game. It could be said that the former Everton forward has come a long way in justifying last January's £45m price tag with a return of eight goals and five assists in 24 Premier League matches this term, while also proving a reliable source for efforts on goal.
In the continued absence of Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak, Newcastle's No.10 should get the nod to lead the line once again, especially after scoring his team's first equalising goal in the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth last time. He was on penalty duty that day, successfully converting from the spot for his second half goal - a strike which resulted in him successfully producing a shot on target in six of his last seven.
Defending against him will be Arsenal's Ben White, who will certainly have his hands full dealing with Harvey Barnes down Newcastle's left flank. The 26-year-old England capped right-back has met this tackles line of 2+ in back-to-back games and in other important duels with the division's best, including against Man City and Liverpool.
The quality of the opposition typically has a large influence over whether these particular prop bets land or not, and with Barnes' direct running and penchant for 1-v-1 dribbling, White should get numerous opportunities to prove his defensive capabilities out wide against the fresh-faced winger.
Capping this bet builder off is for defender Dan Burn to be carded. Two of his three league cautions have come in games away from St. James' Park and in fixtures where Newcastle have struggled against difficult opposition in Wolves and Brighton. The Magpies came out on top in the pair's previous meeting, but did pick up five bookings on Tyneside, so the result certainly wasn't achieved easily.
Newcastle are also without a clean sheet in any of their last eight matches, shipping 22 goals during this run, while looking like a shadow of the team that opened the campaign. After a midweek European defeat, The Gunners will be fuelled to return to winning ways and the Emirates is the perfect venue for doing just that.
It especially helps that Burn is set to face the in-form Bukayo Saka, who has provided 12 goals and seven assists this season - with seven of those coming in his last six.
