After a strong start to their league campaign, Arsenal have won just one of their last six games in all competitions and currently sit fourth in the league table with 40 points. As for Liverpool, they produced one of their best attacking performances last week against Newcastle where they recorded an expected goals figure of 7.27, the highest of any English top flight side on record.
They currently sit top of the Premier League table with 45 points after 20 games and possess the best defence with just 18 goals conceded. They have scored on the road in 18 consecutive games but their recent record against Arsenal in the FA Cup has not been the best, as Arsenal have come out on top in each of their last three clashes in this competition.
The pair drew 1-1 just two weeks ago in the league and another tightly contested clash could be on the cards. I have included two of my best bets for this all important FA Cup game below.
Team News:
Fabio Viera, Thomas Partey, Mohamed Elneny & Takehiro Tomiyasu are out for Arsenal while Oleksandr Zinchenko is doubtful.
Joel Matip, Stefan Bajcetic, Andrew Robertson, Thiago, Kostas Tsimikas, Mohamed Salah & Wataru Endo are out for Liverpool.
Arsenal vs Liverpool Tips
- Alexis Mac Allister - Over 0.5 fouls committed
- Martin Odegaard - Over 0.5 shots
- Over 0 goals for Arsenal
- Over 0 goals in the 1st half
Alexis Mac Allister averages the most fouls per game (1.5) for Liverpool in the league and has picked up the most yellow cards for them in this campaign (5). As for Martin Odegaard, he is averaging 2.3 shots per game for Arsenal in the league this season, registering a shot in 16 of their 17 games.
Arsenal have scored in 12 of their last 13 home games in all competitions this season and they scored three goals the last time they faced Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.
Finally, Arsenal have seen a first half goal scored in eight of their last nine games in all competitions while Liverpool have seen a first half goal scored in nine of their last 12 games in all competitions. There were also two first half goals in their last meeting a couple of weeks ago and with both teams struggling in defence, we could see an early goal again here.
Combining these four picks gives us a solid bet builder at 3/4 and we will take that as our main bet for this game with a 1pt stake.
This bet was a winner the last time these two sides faced each other at the Emirates Stadium and both these sides scored in the first half in their recent league meeting at the Anfield. Neither side will approach this game cautiously and that could result in an open game from the first minute. It is certainly a longshot but at 10/1, this deserves a small 0.25pt stake as our second bet for this blockbuster FA Cup clash.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly
