Arsenal vs. Southampton Betting Tips: Jesus to find the net at The Emirates

Friday Night Football returns this week as Arsenal take on Southampton at The Emirates. The Gunners cannot afford to slip up again in the race for the title and we’ve provided you with our two best bets for the game that kicks off at 8pm.
After throwing away a two goal lead against Liverpool and then West Ham last week, the gap between Arsenal and Manchester City is down to just four points. Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand and a win here for Arsenal would set up a potential title decider at The Etihad next Wednesday.
Southampton remain at the foot of the table, but despite their poor form, they are still just four points from safety. Saints are winless in six league outings with their most recent result being a 2-0 home defeat to Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace. Southampton have taken four points from their last two meetings with Arsenal, but will know they are facing a side who can be destructive in the final third on Friday evening.
Arsenal vs Southampton Tips
The last time Southampton managed a Premier League victory was at the start of March and we fancy Arsenal to get back to winning ways with a strong performance here. For our first selection we are backing Gabriel Jesus to get on the scoresheet anytime in the match.
Since returning from injury the Brazilian has started three league games for Arsenal and has scored in all of them, including a brace against Leeds. Arteta’s side have been ruthless against bottom half sides this season scoring at least three goals in all seven of their home victories against sides currently 11th or lower.
Southampton have failed to keep a clean sheet in all of their last five matches and with Arsenal scoring at least two goals in all of their last seven in the league, we think there is scope for them to notch a good few on home soil here.
We’ve also had a bit of loose change on Bukayo Saka to score and be carded which is available at 21/1 with Paddy Power or the Betfair Sportsbook.
After the disappointment of missing a crucial penalty against West Ham, we fancy Saka to bounce back and score against Southampton. The Arsenal forward has managed 12 league goals this campaign with only Gabriel Martinelli having netted more for the club this season.
Saka also leads the way for Arsenal when it comes to card collecting with seven cautions in all competitions. This bet for him to score and be carded in the same game has landed four times already this season and we think it should be a little shorter than the 21/1 that is currently on show.
