Arsenal vs. Man City Betting Tips: Back Gabriel to be carded at The Emirates

The most awaited game of the Premier League season is upon us as Arsenal host the Champions Manchester City this Sunday at the Emirates Stadium. We’ve made a case for two bets for the afternoon which you can read more about below.
The Gunners are still unbeaten in the Premier League so far this season as they sit third with 17 points, just one point behind Manchester City who sit at the top of the pile. Mikel Arteta’s side produced a brilliant away performance against Bournemouth last week, beating them 4-0 but suffered a blip in midweek losing 2-1 to Lens in the Champions League group stage.
As for Manchester City, they started off their Premier League campaign with six wins on the trot before getting knocked out of the EFL Cup by Newcastle and then suffering an upset at the hands of Wolves.
However, Guardiola’s men bounced back with a 3-1 win away at Leipzig in the Champions League during the week and will be highly motivated going into this massive clash. This is a fixture that has been dominated by Manchester City in recent years, as they have won 12 successive games in the Premier League against Arsenal, which is also The Gunners longest-ever losing streak against a single opponent in league history.
Team News:
Jurrien Timber is out for Arsenal while Martinelli & Saka are doubtful.
Kevin De Bruyne & Rodri are out for Manchester City.
Arsenal vs Man City Tips
This selection has landed in every Arsenal home game so far this season with the Emirates Stadium proving to be a happy hunting ground for backers of goals.
The Gunners have been ferocious in attack on their home turf so far this term, but have been susceptible at the back which has resulted in high scoring contests.
Manchester City have won three of their away games so far this season and have seen at least three or more goals scored in those. The absence of their key defensive midfielder Rodri should also affect them defensively, as shown in their 2-1 loss to Wolves last week.
This bet has also landed in their last four consecutive Premier League meetings as two sides full of attacking intent go against each other. At 31/40, there is enough value for us to get involved and take it as our main 1pt bet for this massive clash.
Gabriel Magalhaes loves a cynical foul on the counter and was booked earlier this season in the Community Shield against Manchester City. He has seen a total of three yellow cards in his last five meetings against Guardiola’s men and should be a strong candidate to be shown one here again.
As for Erling Haaland, despite not scoring in the last two games he is City’s biggest attacking threat and their top scorer in the Premier League with eight goals in seven games.
Haaland has also scored both times he has come up against Arsenal in the league and will be looking to make it three in three against them here. Combining these two selections gives us a cracking longshot double @ 6/1 which we will be taking as our second bet for this game.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly
