Aberdeen vs Rangers Prediction, Odds and Betting Tips: Back Aberdeen to Lengthen the Gap

In what is a crucial game in the fight for the Scottish Premiership title, Aberdeen, who have been in fantastic form, face up against a Rangers side in need of a win to keep their title hopes alive. A loss for the Rangers this week would put them 9 points behind Aberdeen and Celtic, who are both unbeaten in the league so far.
Kick-off for this match is at 20:00 at the Pittodrie Stadium. You can watch this game live over at Sky Sports.
Aberdeen vs Rangers Predictions
Jimmy Thelin's Aberdeen are in flying form right now and are surprisingly pushing Brendan Rogers' Celtic all the way in the title race so far. Although it is still early in the season, this Aberdeen side shows no signs of slowing down in their hunt for their first Scottish Premiership title since 1985, when Sir Alex Ferguson won a title with them.
This Aberdeen side finished in the bottom half of the league last season, and few would have predicted when Jimmy Thelin took charge in June that they would be unbeaten in their first nine league games, winning eight and drawing one game away at Celtic Park.
Rangers, on the other hand, have struggled so far. They are currently six points adrift of Aberdeen and Celtic and were hammered by their Glasgow enemies earlier in the season. A loss this week would leave them with a lot of work to do if they plan to get back into this title race.
Despite all this, Aberdeen go into the game as the betting underdogs. They are priced at 23/10 to win this game, which seems like a very high price and is one I will be taking.
I am pairing this prediction with a bet on both teams to score. Both teams have scored in six of Aberdeen's nine games this season, and with Aberdeen and Rangers having the second and third most goals this season, I expect the back of the net to be hit a few times on Wednesday.
Pairing Aberdeen to win with both teams to score gives combined odds of 5/1.

For my second prediction, I am backing it for there to be under 11 corners.
In Aberdeen's last three matches, there have been fewer than 11 total corners, highlighting a trend of lower corner counts. This includes their recent clash with Celtic, where the game saw just three corners overall – a surprisingly low figure given Celtic average many more corners a game.
Rangers have also experienced a notable trend of low corner counts in recent matches, with the total tally staying under 11 corners in each of their last five games. This tendency for fewer corners in both sides recent games is definitely something to keep an eye on for this one and I will be backing there to be under 11 corners at odds of 5/6.
