Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis Betting Tips: Side with this 10/3 selection for crossover fight
Influencer Logan Paul returns to the boxing ring this weekend to challenge Bellator's Dillon Danis in the double main event on Misfits' eagerly anticipated Prime Card.
As if being one of the highest paid YouTubers, signing for the WWE, co-founding a multi-billion dollar energy drink company and participating in an exhibition match with Floyd Mayweather wasn't enough, Logan Paul has a new venture at the top of his priority list: to knock out the world's most active online troll in Dillon Danis.
Paul hasn't boxed for over two years, but remains an incredibly athletic individual whose time and attention has been poured onto the wrestling stage as of late. Now, in a major bid to promote Prime, he has teamed up with his partner's boxing promotion and returned to the scene of where this whole influencer boxing side of the sport began in Manchester to settle a score with the loudmouthed Danis.
MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Dillon Danis last made a competitive walk to the cage in June 2019. Known for his exceptional grappling and submission capabilities, Danis has no boxing experience, and where some intrigue for this fight may have initially come from how he might fare in this discipline, interest has largely been generated by his personal attacks towards Logan's fiancée.
Branded the "people's main event", these two long-term foes meet on 14th October and Logan Paul is deemed the likely winner with an implied probability of 80% sitting in his corner. For Danis, bookmakers are acting entirely on speculation, but believe they have gathered enough facts to position him as a 5/1 underdog. The draw is also available at 16/1 for those who believe the two will be inseparable on the night.
Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis Tips
As tempted as we were to side with Dillon Danis at such a large price in what could be viewed as a 50-50 fight between two men without any significant boxing experience, our head tells us Logan Paul will emerge victorious.
Paul has the more advantageous physiological attributes, with height, reach and strength likely to play a crucial role in determining a winner on Saturday night. However, while most have determined that these assets will lead to a Logan Paul knockout win, we believe this six-round contest while last the distance.
Say what you will about Danis and his trolling tactics, once he enters the ring, the game face will go on and those years of acting as Conor McGregor's crash test dummy will serve him reasonably well.
He hasn't displayed any form of accomplished striking skills in his two fights with Bellator, which is another of the reasons we had difficulty justifying a win for him here, but he does possess the requisite hardiness to stand and trade with someone like Logan for the duration of this matchup.
With very few previous fights to go by in both of their cases, we have to base our judgements on what we do have available to us. As you'll already be aware, Danis has made things very personal between the pair. Whether that ploy was strictly business or not, Logan will certainly bring emotion into the ring with him. And while that could make him susceptible to attacks, we're interpreting it to mean he will be the more active of the two, with Danis' strengths potentially lying with a counter-punching approach.
At odds-on, Logan Paul to win by knockout is simply too short to get onboard with, especially for someone with only three boxing fights under his belt - one of which was an exhibition bout that was immediately declared a no contest once the final bell rung, and two previous contests with KSI which were both turned over to the judges' scorecards.
Logan should, however, be busy enough with his jab and any range of simple combinations to give him the nod over his MMA adversary in Manchester this weekend.
