Football Accumulator Tips: A treble for Brentford vs Manchester City

Back once again for the renegade master! It’s @petemarsden_ here for another edition of our Premier League bet builder. We’re looking ahead to Wednesday’s action in the league, specifically focusing on Brentford vs Man City.
Brentford vs Man City Tips
City come into this game in supreme form, having won their last nine league games in a row, a stat which shows with their price of ⅛ to win this game. Brentford are coming into this game off the back of a 2-0 loss at Brighton, leaving them 13th in the table. The hosts won’t have any favours coming into the game, thanks to a depleted squad, seeing the likes of Mbeumo, Raya, Norgaard, Henry, Ajer and Zanka missing out, amongst others. For the visitors, Rodri and Walker missed out on Boxing Day, but may be saved for their visit to Arsenal on New Year’s Day.
Brentford vs Man City
My first selection comes for the home side Brentford. This is one of two shot on target selections for the home side, but fear not, I have got reason for it! In City’s last game against a Leicester side playing a low block for the majority of the game, City conceded a whopping 8 shots on target, leading to three goals.
Ivan Toney has registered at least one shot on target in 3 of his last 5 league games, and in those games, he has an accuracy of 85.7% when it comes to converting shots into shots on target. As Brentford’s main point of attack, you’d expect him to get at least one decent chance in the 90 minutes.
Joining Toney up top for Brentford should be Yoane Wissa. Wissa is another with a good conversion rate when it comes to shots on target, hitting the target with 60% of his shots this season, scoring two goals. He hasn’t registered a SoT in his last four league games, but my reasoning for this pick stems from City’s defensive frailties against Leicester. Pep Guardiola’s side as previously mentioned conceded 8 shots on target in their last outing, and 7 of those came from Leicester’s three attacking players in Iheanacho, Maddison and Lookman.
I’d imagine Pep would look to keep things fresh in the squad, which could lead to some complacency in the team, and potentially chances for the hosts.
My final selection comes in the form of Man City’s midfield stalwart, Fernandinho. With a huge game against Arsenal on the horizon, I expect the Brazilian to start again in midfield on Wednesday, which is a move that could have punters licking their lips.
In his last two starts in the league, Fernandinho has given away 4 & 3 fouls respectively, picking up a booking in his last game against Leicester. We all know he’s the master of the tactical foul, and with Brentford breaking from the back quickly, you can expect a few shirts to be pulled, or ankles to be clipped.
The 12/5 takes our treble to just over 13/1, and please remember to always gamble responsibly.
