The second round of Nations League fixtures gets underway on Sunday with many of the teams in action who featured on Thursday’s slate. Here at BettingOdds.com we’ve put together an acca that we like the look of, which at the time of writing can be backed at 9/1 with Unibet.
Football Acca Tips
Serbia to beat Slovenia
We are kicking off this acca with a selection from Belgrade where Serbia take on Slovenia. We are backing the hosts to come away with the three points here after some impressive displays from Dragan Stojkovic’s in World Cup qualifying. Serbia qualified for the finals in Qatar by topping their group and going unbeaten in eight matches, in a group that included Portugal and the Republic of Ireland.
Serbia talisman Aleksandar Mitrovic broke the record for the most goals in a Championship season for Fulham, with 43 goals in his most recent campaign. For his country, he scored eight goals in eight appearances in World Cup qualifying and we believe he can contribute to what we see as a potentially routine victory for Serbia. They are unbeaten on home soil in seven matches, winning their last three and scoring three or more goals in each of those.
Sweden to beat Norway
Next up we are taking Sweden to beat Norway in Stockholm. These two teams are in League B for the tournament, along with Serbia and Slovenia. Sweden and Noway have met on four occasions since 2015, with all four of those ending in a draw.
A lot of the focus may be on Erling Haaland in this game but Sweden have a plethora of attacking talent of their own. Dejan Kulusevski has been immense for Spurs since his arrival in January, and with Alexander Isak and Anthony Elanga in attack the Swedes have the ability to cause Norway serious problems. Sweden’s best form has come on home soil over the last few years and they have won their last five infront of their own fans, which includes victories over Spain, Czech Republic and Greece.
Portugal to beat Switzerland
Portugal were the inaugural winners of the UEFA Nations League when it was launched in 2018/2019 and they can be backed at 10/1 to lift the trophy this time round when the finals are played next summer. Cristiano Ronaldo and Co take on Switzerland on Sunday evening and despite having to go through the play-offs to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar, we still believe they have enough to see off Switzerand.
The Swiss played two friendlies back in March where they failed to beat Kosovo in a 1-1 draw as well as going down to England 2-1 in a defeat at Wembley. In all formats, Switzerland have only won four of their last ten matches, which came against Lithuania, Northern Ireland, Greece and Bulgaria. With this in mind, Portugal have more than enough quality in Ronaldo, Bernardo Silva, Diogo Jota, and Bruno Fernandes to come out victorious in Lisbon.
Spain to beat Czech Republic
This will be the third renewal of the UEFA Nations League and Spain are priced as the 5/1 second-favourites to taste glory this time around. Luis Enrique’s side are have won seven of their last eight matches in all formats with their most recent victory being a 5-0 thumping of Iceland with Alvaro Morata and Pablo Sarabia both scoring a brace.
Young starlet, Pedri may be out injured but with the improving Gavi, Ferran Torres, and Eric Garcia now in the side, the future looks a little brighter for Espana than what it did 18 months ago after they had been knocked out at the Round of 16 in Euro 2016 and World Cup 2018. Czech Republic will be without Euros joint top-scorer Patrick Schick for this game and we see the home side dominating the game and coming out victorious to hopefully bring home this 9/1 acca.
