Burkina Faso vs Ethiopia Prediction: We're backing Bande in the shots markets

Monday afternoon sees the conclusion of Group A in the Africa Cup Of Nations. Cameroon and Burkina Faso have qualified while Cape Verde are currently one of the highest placed 3rd teams. Burkina Faso face bottom placed Ethiopia knowing another win would secure a top two spot in the group. Ethiopia will be pretty demoralised and know they are extremely unlikely to qualify from the group, the best they can hope for is to show some fighting pride. Burkina Faso will likely stick with the same side that beat Cape Verde although they do have the option of Dango Ouattara, Soualio Ouattara and Saidou Simpore who all return after Covid isolation. Bertrand Traore is still unavailable following his positive test. He should be back for the knockout rounds though.

Ethiopia have no issues with injuries and Covid but may make changes here following two disappointing losses. Yared Bayeh returns for selection after his first match red card. 

Burkina Faso are heavy favourites here at 59/100 with the draw available at 3/1 and the Ethiopians as large as 6/1.

Our two selections are both in the shots on target markets. We like the look of 23-year-old Hassane Bandé to register shots on the Ethiopian goal. Bandé had two shots, both on target and scored the winning goal versus Cape Verde and seems to be thriving in a team missing influential midfielder Bertrand Traore.

The Ajax youngster is currently on loan at Croatian side Istra 1961 where he has netted six times in 19 games this season. After impressing at his first club Mechelen, Ajax beat the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal to Bandé's signature in a £7m move and he clearly has plenty of potential.  

We expect him to star again here having opened up his international scoring tally last week. 

1+ shot on target is available at 8/11 and will be our main bet.
