Bet Builder Tips: Sunday double with two picks from the shots markets

Some say that Sundays were made for setting up camp in the front room, and watching football while the smell of a roast drifts in from the kitchen. That’s certainly the case here at BettingOdds.com and we’re delighted to have this crucial part of life back in our routines.
@AnthonyEadson is on hand this week with his best Premier League Bet Builder tips which come across the two games, starting at 14:00. The double on both selections currently pays best with 5/2 bookmaker bet365 using their Bet Builder feature.
Allan Saint-Maximin over 1.5 shots - 5/6
Stick with Allan
Much to the disappointment of many football fans Allan Saint-Maximin only started 19 league matches last season due to injury. One of the most exciting individuals to watch on his day, Saint-Maximin averaged 3.8 dribbles per game last term, a figure that was only bettered by one player in the league in Adama Traore.
Towards the back end of last season the Frenchman began to regain his fitness and was fairly generous to shots backers. The 24-year-old has recorded at least two shots in six of his last nine starts for Newcastle and Manchester City and Liverpool were two of the three opponents that he failed to register at least two shots against in that period.
I’m expecting a slightly more attacking approach from Steve Bruce and Newcastle this season and considering this has landed in six of his nine starts I’m happy to have over 1.5 shots onside against West Ham. Sky Bet are priced at evens for 3+ shots and with Betfair going 1/2 for 2+ shots this looks a good price from bet365.
Mahrez to rack up the shots, again!
Predicting team news on the opening weekend is a tough task at the best of times, throw into the mix Pep Guardiola’s notorious unpredictability for choosing his XI and you’ve got yourself an equation Carol Voderman would be proud of solving.
However, I’m putting faith in Riyad Mahrez starting in London for the champions against Spurs on Sunday and backing him to have over 2.5 shots. Best priced again with bet365 this looks another attractive prospect considering his performance at the back end of last season for City.
In his last 15 starts for the club, Mahrez has registered over 2.5 shots on 11 occasions which gives plenty of appeal to the 10/11 offering this weekend. The three-time Premier League winner recorded five shots in last week's Community Shield against Leicester and could also be on free-kicks against Spurs with the potential absence of Kevin De Bruyne.
That’s 5/2 on the double with bet365 compared to just 13/8 with Betfair and Paddy Power. Best of luck to anyone following the selections this weekend and please always gamble responsibly.
