Manchester United welcome Cypriot side Omonia Nicosia to Old Trafford on Thursday evening in Matchday 4 in the Europa League. We’ve previewed the action and have provided you with two selections that we like the look of for the occasions.
It wasn’t plain sailing for Erik Ten Hag’s side when they travelled to Omonia seven days ago. The Red Devils went 1-0 down before making a coming back and going on to win the game 3-2.
United then went on to claim a 2-1 victory away at Goodison Park against Everton, again coming behind after conceding a first half goal.
Neil Leonnon will have been delighted with his sides showing in the reverse fixture, although his side are still to pick up a point in this Group E campaign. Their opponents on Thursday are currently second in the table with six points from three matches and they can make another step towards the knockout stages with a win here.
Moving onto team news, Brandon Williams, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Axel Tuanzebe are all confirmed absentees for the hosts, while Harry Maguire, Donny van de Beek and Raphael are both a doubt. Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to start from the off after letting off eight shots in the game against Omonia last week.
