Tyler Owens, Xavier Worthy Favored to Run Fastest 40-Yard Dash at NFL Scouting Combine

FanDuel has unveiled several NFL Combine-related bets heading into the on-field testing, and the popular sportsbook believes two Texas speedsters could battle it out for fastest 40-yard dash.

Texas Tech defensive back Tyler Owens is the favorite to have the best time in the 40, while Texas wideout Xavier Worthy was second.

Here is a look at the top-10 candidates to finish with the fastest 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, according to FanDuel on February 29th.

Owens clocked a speed of 21.55 mph at the East-West Shrine Bowl, and said at the Combine that he expects to run in the low 4.2s.

The over/under on the fastest 40 at the Combine is set at 4.275 seconds, with -114 odds on each side of it, per FanDuel.

Worthy has been training at industry-leading performance center Exos in Phoenix, and his trainer, Nic Hill, expects the speedster to turn heads.

“He’s gonna go fly,” Hill said.

John Ross has the Scouting Combine record with a 4.22-second 40-yard dash, and it is not expected to be broken, as those odds sit at +710. 

Bettors can choose head-to-head 40-yard dash winners, including this interesting one: Will LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels (+108) run a faster 40 than Michigan tailback Blake Corum (-140).
