Three Predictions from FanDuel’s Thanksgiving Day Prop Bet Specials

There are three games set for Thanksgiving, and FanDuel has unveiled a host of fun prop bets that often combine players from different teams.
Here are my three favorite NFL picks from the list, as well as a rundown of every prop bet special that can be wagered on this Thursday.
Also check out my Thanksgiving Day parlay as the Lions host the Packers, the Cowboys host the Commanders and the 49ers travel to face the Seahawks.
Onto the predictions.
3. Any player to score a 60+ yard field goal on Thanksgiving (+1000)
So we’ve got three games and two of them are in domes. We can probably count out a 60-yard field goal in Seattle, but Ford Field was the location for Justin Tucker’s 66-yard field goal a couple years ago, and the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium also offers ideal kicker conditions.
There have been four kickers who have hit 60-plus yard field goals this season, including Washington’s Joey Slye, who will kick in Dallas on Thanksgiving. Cowboys rookie Brandon Aubrey has hit a 58-yarder this season.
Detroit kicker Riley Patterson has a career-long of only 53 yards so he may be out, but I have some faith in Green Bay’s Anders Carlson. He hit a 57-yarder in the preseason and made one from 62 in an Auburn scrimmage in college.
Yes, I just referenced a college scrimmage to back up this belief. But at 10-to-1 odds, I’ll take the shot in the dark.
Prop Bet Prediction: Any player to score a 60+ yard field goal (+1000 odds at FanDuel)
2. Any non-QB to throw 1+ passing touchdowns (+1200)
I’m staring directly at Kyle Shanahan for this one. Christian McCaffrey has two touchdown passes in his career, including one for the 49ers last season.
The 49ers have a bunch of special talents at the skill positions, and the team is so good at running the ball that defenses can be ripe to get picked on with trick plays.
This is a longshot, of course, but I like that the 49ers are playing on Thanksgiving to give us a shot. And obviously there are five other teams that can help us out with some trickery, but I’m all in on McCaffrey throwing for a touchdown.
Prop Bet Prediction: A non-QB to throw a passing touchdown (+1200 odds at FanDuel)
1. Packers WR Jayden Reed to score 1+ rushing TD (+2000)
The rookie slot receiver has been awesome this season, with 32 catches for 463 yards and four touchdowns. That doesn’t help us for this bet, but this part does: Reed had three carries for 46 yards and a score last week.
Can lightning strike twice? Aaron Jones is not expected to play, which means A.J. Dillon should be the bellcow for the Packers and coach Matt LaFleur may get creative beyond him.
Reed will once again do most of his work on passing plays, but he’s so dynamic that the Packers could incorporate him into the run game using end arounds, like the one he scored on last week.
Additionally, if Reed catches a bubble screen on a backward pass, that counts as a run play, which would also count for this prop bet. This is a fun bet with some value at these odds.
Prop Bet Prediction: Packers WR Jayden Reed to score 1+ rushing TD (+2000 odds at FanDuel)
