NFL Player Prop Bets Week 13
It’s Thanksgiving week – which means football, football and more football. Following a trio of games on Thursday, the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs take the field on Friday prior to the remaining NFL slate on Sunday. There are huge matchups all across the board, with the Baltimore Ravens hosting the Philadelphia Eagles and Sunday Night Football between the San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills.
Let’s take a look at some of the best NFL player prop bets to be made for Week 13.
Predictions
Pick #1: Aidan O’Connell (LV) Over 212.5 passing yards (-115)
Pick #2: Najee Harris (PIT) anytime touchdown scorer (+100)
Pick #3: Marquez Valdes-Scantling (NO) Over 35.5 receiving yards (-115)
PICK #1: Aidan O’Connell (LV) Over 212.5 passing yards (-115)
With Gardner Minshew II done for the season because of a broken collarbone, Aidan O’Connell has returned to his former role as QB1 for the Las Vegas Raiders. AOC is by no means an elite quarterback, but – with plenty of experience – he knows what he’s doing under center. The Purdue product exceeded this 212.5 number six times in 11 games during the 2023 campaign and he passed for 227 yards against a vaunted Pittsburgh Steelers defense in October of this year. O’Connell and the Raiders now face a Kansas City Chiefs defense that has allowed 15 passing touchdowns while making only six interceptions and is tied for the fifth-fewest sacks in the NFL with 21. If he has time to throw the ball, O’Connell should find success against an unspectacular K.C. secondary. With a 13-point spread, the likelihood is that the Raiders will be playing from behind, meaning O’Connell will need to be airing the ball out often as well.
PICK #2: Najee Harris (PIT) anytime touchdown scorer (+100
Najee Harris has scored only three touchdowns this season, but that’s why this is a great buy-low spot at +100 to find the end zone when the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Cincinnati Bengals. All three of Harris’ TDs have come in the last six contests, which is an encouraging sign. Moreover, he scored once in each of the two head-to-head matchups last year and he pinned 2 touchdowns on Cincinnati in the final meeting of the 2022 campaign. It should be another favorable matchup for the former Alabama standout, as the Bengals have given up 15 rushing TDs – tied for the fifth-most in the league.
PICK #3: Marquez Valdes-Scantling (NO) Over 35.5 receiving yards (-115)
Marquez Valdes-Scantling was a non-factor with the Buffalo Bills earlier this season, but the New Orleans Saints acquired him at the trade deadline and – with Chris Olave on injured reserve – he is suddenly their No. 1 wide receiver. As Derek Carr’s primary target (maybe other than Alvin Kamara out of the backfield), Valdes-Scantling should be in line for a productive performance against the LA Rams. Los Angeles is giving up 218.2 passing yards per game and is surrendering a horrendous 8.2 yards per pass attempt (second-most in the NFL). MVS has racked up 109 and 87 yards in the past two games, so this is a very low number that he should be able to surpass.
