NFL Draft Betting: Indianapolis Colts New Favorite to Select Tight End Brock Bowers
The Los Angeles Chargers were the long-time favorite to draft Brock Bowers, but that is no longer the case.
The star tight end from Georgia does not seem likely to go in the top-10 at this juncture, which has made DraftKings sportsbook adjust its odds.
The new favorite is the Indianapolis Colts, who hold the No. 15 overall pick and could use another weapon on offense to aid in the development of second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson.
Here is a look at the five teams with the best odds to draft Brock Bowers, which can be wagered on at DraftKings.
Odds To Draft Brock Bowers
- Indianapolis Colts +275
- Los Angeles Chargers +330
- New York Jets +600
- Cincinnati Bengals +750
- Tennessee Titans +800
Let’s take a look at each team, and why they could be interested in Bowers.
Colts: The Colts re-signed standout wide receiver Michael Pittman but could still use more explosiveness on offense. Bowers is seen as one of the better tight end prospects of the past several years and could grow alongside Anthony Richardson.
Chargers: The Chargers released Mike Williams on Wednesday, and Keenan Allen is nearing the tail-end of his career. Los Angeles drafted Quentin Johnston in the first round last season but he was underwhelming. Bowers makes sense, but the Chargers pick at No. 5 overall, and it seems like an offensive tackle or an explosive wideout like Malik Nabers or Rome Odunze would make more sense.
Jets: The Jets have been pegged by most to draft an offensive tackle at No. 10 overall. So far that still seems like the most likely scenario, but if they make a move for a veteran in free agency, it could open the door to a player like Bowers, who would give quarterback Aaron Rodgers another weapon.
Bengals: The Bengals signed Mike Gesicki in free agency, but it was only a one-year deal and wouldn’t preclude Cincy from taking Bowers if he is still available at No. 18 overall. It’s hard to know if Tee Higgins will remain with the Bengals long-term, and Bowers could step in as the complement to Ja’Marr Chase in the offense. This seems like a very good value bet, just as long as Bowers makes it all the way to Cincinnati in the draft.
Titans: The Titans draft No. 7 overall and may choose to keep adding weapons for second-year quarterback Will Levis. DeAndre Hopkins is set to return while Calvin Ridley was just added on a lucrative four-year deal, so this does seem less likely than it was previously. Tennessee could instead eye the offensive tackle or receiver options at 7.
