NFL Draft Betting: Chicago Bears Heavily Favored to Keep No. 1 Pick, Select Caleb Williams

After a year at USC with Caleb Williams, Kliff Kingsbury has been hired as the new offensive coordinator of the Commanders.
The move has led to plenty of speculation about a possible pro reunion, as Washington holds the No. 2 overall pick in the draft.
Williams has been favored to be the No. 1 pick for months, so it would likely take a trade-up with the Bears to get him – but the betting markets don’t think Chicago is going to pull the trigger.
The Bears are heavy favorites to stick at No. 1, according to FanDuel on February 5th.
Team to Select No. 1 Overall in Draft
- Bears -600
- The Field +380
Drake Maye is widely regarded as the second-best quarterback prospect in the draft, and the Bears could get him and some draft capital by trading down, but the allure of Williams may be too strong.
One thing that could potentially tip the scales is word from Williams that he wants to play in Washington over Chicago, which thus far has not been the case.
Other teams are likely interested in moving up to No. 1 overall as well, but landing a potential franchise signal-caller could make it a non-starter for the Bears, no matter the offer.
While there's still plenty of time to go before the draft, Chicago is projected to stand pat and pick Williams.
The former Heisman Trophy winner’s odds to be the No. 1 overall pick have continued to strengthen over the past few weeks, as the implied probability gives him a 92.3% chance to be the first player chosen, per FanDuel.
